you're going to have to do a ton of research. I already posted one link. here's another with some useful info and to give a better idea of what you'd be getting yourself into. http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showto...p;hl=7afe+turbo

can someone give me a list of ever part ima need to buy to turbo my completly stock7A-FE?And whats the rough hp gain ima get with a turbo?

I would give you a list but its entirely to long and truley you need to Learn this stuff on your own a do a little bit of research so you will know what part does what.
Once you compile a list oft things you need on your own.
I will be more than happy to add things that you are missing. wink.gif
And Expect to see around 60 to 70 hp gains depending on your parts you buy and
if your gonna run a safe boot level.

hahah, this is a fun post! NOT. someone has ALOT to learn before they do anything with turboing the 7afe.. but no, you cant just turn a turbo off, but yes you can adjust the power up or down with a boost controller. on the 7afe you have to be very carful with the amount of boost you run, and the amount of fuel mixture with it, other wise BOOM.

I am in the same boat you are. Be sure you know how much power you want first. In my Celica I would be happy with 180 hp and an ECU remap. I have pushed my Celica literally to its limits, I blew the last motor by driving it too hard, I've thrown it around corners doing 45 or 50 mph. Just find out how much your Celica can actually do before you go modifying it. Think also, You throw a large amount of horsepower into a super-light car like the Celi, it won't be easy to control. NOS = not a good idea. If you MUST use nos, only use a 50 shot, to save from immense damage. Good luck down the road. But yeah, the forums are a great place to get info, I've learned tons just from them

try between 115-120. Then you hit the cutoff.

gear ratios are really short. I believe you'd be redlining 5th gear at 128 mph. of course, you could take it a bit past redline to reach like 135 or so...

Take it easy and do it one at a time. Having a car for a hobby requires patience and a lot of money. Unless you have "a lot of money" then you rid yourself of patience and do it all at once. Regardless, concentrate on one part of the car at a time, whether it be looks, performance etc.
