hi there
i`m new to this forum. i`ve just purchased my first toyota celica ss2., having moved over from BMW`s.
i purchased my celica on friday night, whilst driving home ,i noticed a light appear on instrument cluster. its a birds eye picture of the car with lines coming off the rear end. i`m assuming its a warning light stating the boots open??? this light seems to illuminate after 20 seconds of driving. if this is a rear tail warning light, how can i correct the problem

the light you describe is the a warning light telling you that one or more of your bulbs are not working. check the taillights, and brake lights, side markers and such, it can be any of the out side lights of the car.

thanks for your speedy reply, it was the n/s side light. anybody know what bulb code i need.sorry for being useless, but my instruction manual came in japanese

what is N/S ?

n/s =near side to the kerb or left hand side as its called in the wet and windy uk)
o/s = off side

As far as your question goes, this may help but double-check before you order - some of the bulbs are different between different countries:

So likely either a 194 or a 1157. Checking my own car, I can tell you that UK 6gc's use 194 wedge bulbs for the front parking lights as standard. However, UK 6gc's don't have the bulb failure detection circuit and your car is a Japanese import, so probably best if you take a photo of it and post a reply.

davey, is there many breakers in the uk i can i get a second hand suspension set up from? the ride is so stiff in mine. its like driving a steam roller down a cobbled street.
