this could be considered interior also i guess but anyways, my cars hatch wont open, the key will not work and the lever in the car wont pop it, i think the cale is snapped/broken so i have no way of opening my cars hatch the key wont turn when i put it in the hatch either, is there anyway i can open my hatch or fix the lever/key slot, or some kinda trick to pop it open some how, thanks hope one of u guys know thanks, kevin

The cable is probably snapped. You'll have to access the lock mechanism from the back seats. The trim will have come off, and there is a chance you'll damage it in the process.. but you gotta get the trim off to get at the cable.

had that problem bef. makesure your using the master key cause theres a safety lock feature in our cars that only the master key can unlock check your lock first if its the key hole looks like this (-) then most likely you safety locked it but if the key hole is like this (l) then the problem is something else

thanks, ill have to look at it i have a system in the hatch so it gunna be tuff trying to pry open the platic in the back and look at that cable

Our cars have different kinds of keys!?!??!


I think 1 key is the master key, 2nd key is the Valet key that will only open doors and turn the ignition on.

lift up on the trunk lip while you turn the key. This works for me. The hatch is so heavy that the equipment just can't handle it. Hopefully once I get new struts on there it will pop up by itself!
