Hey guys, just checking to see if anyone out there would be interested in log style manifolds for the 5SFE. I know most guys turboing thier 5S's just get the 3S manifold and turbo, but I plan on running a DSM turbo on mine. I just want to see if others out there would be interested in the same thing.

id say get another turbo. log manifold are the worst flowing of them all.
or buy an aftermarket 3sgte manifold with the proper flange already on it. -------------------- |

Log manis arent as good as tube manis, but they actually perform well. My buddy built one for d series civic motor, and he was putting a little over 160hp to the ground with a TDO4 mitsu turbo, and a mitsu intercooler. Thats like double the stock horsepower. for a total turbo kit cost of under 600 bucks, thats not bad.

still though, if your taking about being cheap and effective, the stock 3sgte manifold is the best choice. im sure you wouldn't wanna sell the log manifold for 50 bucks. being thats what u can pick up a used 3s manifold on ebay for. the best route is just using the stock 3sgte parts. no custom downpipe either.
I had a log manifold for my old 5sfte it eventually cracked, cast iron wont and it hold heat better. and the more heat getting to the turbo the better. -------------------- |
