ok so my car wont start and i see the check engine light on, so i used a paper clip to jump te1 and e1(i think there the right ones) well anyway i turned the key and my check engine light was blinking continuously, what code is that kindasad.gif

ok so i pulled out all of the fuses and relays and waited, then i put them back in, then i jumped te1 and e1 and my check engine light blinks 1 time then pauses and then blinks 2 times, is that a code 12, whats a code 12, btw my engine wont even turn over

I should of explained it, sorry.
It's the ignition/distributor that's the problem, check you distributor cap/rotor and make sure they're not bad, also the wires, plugs.

worse case senerio, it's the timing belt. To check this, take the dizzy cap off so you can see the rotor. Then have someone try to start the car and you will be looking at the rotor, if it doesn't spin when someone is trying to start the car, you have a problem.

well when i push in the clutch and turn the key it just makes like a click sound like a relay or somthing would make

****, man it just started 2 weeks ago than it sat there, i just replased that starter 2, i think it was used

try to pop start it or tap on the starter with a hammer, it might start then.

ya me and my dad tryed to pop start it in 1,2,3 gear but it didnt. i dont think it was movin fast enough, i did hit the starter but when it wasnt cranking when i hit it

try again....and make sure u go pretty fast...let the clutch in REALLY easy and slow.

but if it didnt start by rolling it, i think u have a bigger issue then a starter.

cuz the car will bairly be moving....

its like going from a stand still. U have to give the engine some gas to get the rpm up to overcome the inertia of the stationary car, and the friction between the tires and the road. If the car is rolling at <5mph u need to put the clutch in VERY softly, and easy, so that it will catch and the cars inertia will be transfered to the flywheel and then to the crank then to the pistons then combustion and the car SHOULD start.

its a very hard trick to do...but its one of the perks of driving stick...u can ALWAYS start it.

i was letting it out fast, i need a big hill, 2maro im goin to advanceauto parts and im takin my starters and have them put them on the machine and test both of them

gt starters dont work in st's, i took my starters to advance auto parts and found out both of my starters are bad so i am going to pick a new one up 2maro $103 jeez
