I already miss the Celica. I sold it this afternoon. But hopefully tomorrow I'll pick up my new car.

The Yelli Celi made it over the pass and home to Enumclaw this afternoon. We stopped along the way for some pictures that I will upload later... as I am on dial-up right now.

My girlfriend, my friend Rob, and myself all crammed into my hatchback and went over there today and met up with Coomer. I took it for a spin.. LOVED IT... and then came back and we got all the paperwork filled out...

Then Rob (my friend) mentioned how he was looking at some traklites on craigslist and he was trying to contact the guy with them.... turned out Coomer knew the guy, called him up, and he was there in about 5 minutes. So Rob went and bought some rims and loaded them up in the black Celi and we headed to the gas station (after a brief stop at the local Pita Pit). I filled up the Yelli Celi with delicious 92oc and headed for home. To my suprise we got all the way home (115 miles) and I had barely gone below the Full line... this was with an average speed of 80mph over the pass.

There are a few things that I will address in the morning with her, but do not worry 6GC, I'm not going to be making many changes to her. I'm going to try and get the exhaust patched up on Monday and I'm going to clean up the power steering/AC stuff. I NEED to get those back on, because the stiff suspension and no power steering is a pain on slow turns. I'm going to try and match the power steering and all that good stuff to the current color/ theme of the engine bay to keep it as nice as possible thumbsup.gif

what else....

ITB's are nice smile.gif

Like I said before.. I'm not changing much on it. A new exhaust system for her, re-add power steering, and run a bit more braided lines under the hood ( and coomer if you can send me the link for the braided line we were talking about I would appreciate it. thumbsup.gif

All in all. I am very happy with the new addition to my Celica family. She has a good home here. She's currently tucked away in my garage.

Glad the car made it home fine and glad you're happy with it. smile.gif

Does the car have an exhaust leak? I always thought the exhaust sounds were because of the ITBs.

I'll send you a PM shortly with the link to those lines and stuff.

I'm thinking it does. I believe 95% of the tone and loudness of the exhaust is ITB, but I have a feeling there is a hole right about midway back. I am going to see if my exhaust shop can take a peek at it and see whats going on. Maybe I'm just crazy. In that case I'll have them throw a nice resonator onto it to try and quiet it up a little. Yellow and loud does not blend in easily tongue.gif

A sad day in 6GC history. I hope you have fun with the car and keep it in the shape its in (or even better mechanicly speaking), but from the looks of it, it went to the right owner.

Well Coomer, glad to see you had a nice sale. I know most people will flame you for moving to Honda, but you remember to look out for #1. I wish you the best of luck in your upcoming honda adventures

So will the website be sold to another 6gc'er? Will we have a new king mod or will Coomer stick around?

Well, we lose one coupe owner, but gained another!

I believe it is just a Grant steering wheel. It has no badging other than a flag near the bottom.
