Ok first off im new to the site so hi to everyone!

Secondly im slowy starting to work on my 6 so hopefully im gonna add a some cool pics and How To threads.

So back to the topic, i just got myself some door poppers so i can shave my handles and de-lock my doors and i was wondering if anyone has done this before who could give me any ideas for the best position to put the solanoid. Also does anyone know if i can keep the standard lock or do i need to change it.

The solanoid im using has a 50lb pull on it so its pretty big.

Any pics that anyone has will be really helpfull.

So you've got it mounted under the latch then? is that ok with the window?

i was thinkin of puttin my here but it was starting to seem a little tricky to get the line between the latch an solanoid without interfearing with the window when its down.

anypics of the solanoid would be really helpfull

thanx creis

just read your other post too in the shaved door thread an mines a daily driver and i kinda guess about the wearing away part with putting it there. was hoping someone might have come up with a better position frown.gif

do you have any pics or could you take any. i really wanna try figure this out so it works as smooth as possible and any pics would help me loads. im starting to think about using a small pulley to stop it rubbing or something.

you wont need a pulley the glass curves up at that part making a small lil pocket to fit the popper
