alright, so in my car I've got one touch power window down on my driver's side. I was wondering if it was possible to make it be one touch to roll the window up, also, be able to have one touch for the passenger side too. anyone done this before?

As Hanyo already said the DEI window module will do it. It's a very easy install and will make both windows one touch up and down. If you have an alarm it can also be wired to work with it. It's a nice add on. When you arm the windows go up. It also lets you crack the window open via remote and roll the windows down.

They sell for about $20 on ebay.

You need more than some wires. One of the things the module does is watch the current going to the motor. When the window opens or closes all the way the motor can't turn anymore and the current spikes. The module sees this and cuts power before anything breaks.

Just for simplicity and ease of installation the $20 for the module is well worth it.

Do instructions come with the part? And also if I were going to install another one-touch switch on my drivers side for my passenger side window, would I need 2 of these modules? Thanks

it should come with instructions...very straight forward installation...DO NOT get the 529t from that posted link...pick up a 530t...this allows one touch up/down for driver's and pass side windows...to get one touch from the pass side switch, you must run 4 wires into the pass side door.

you don't have to run the wires to the pass side door. All 8 wires can run to the driver's door. I've did this not too long ago on hurley97's car.

I've got a '98 SX and only have auto down on the drivers side. Did Toyota ever do any other options of which the module could be retrofitted? Those third party module require a lot of wire hacking and adding to install which I don't like the idea of.

when wired this way the one touch only works from the driver side switch. the passenger switch will work like normal, no one-touch operation.

the 530t is a universal module...it can be used as a stand alone unit to gain one touch operation, and can be used in conjunction with an alarm for remote window control...as long as the avital system has an armed output, it can control the remote window up function...if the avital has an avail ext out, it can control the remote window down function
