i just put on my gauges and each gauge has a wire that all connects to a transformer then from that it says to connect to a 12v wire and since I only want them ON when the cars on I need to connect it to the accesory wire but i dont know which one it is anyone know plss post. thnks

However you need to take care on two counts. Firstly, grey wires are used for other things and secondly the accessory wire maxes out at 15A (and that includes the draw from the clock and audio systems). You can find the accessory wire going into the back of the clock, into the back of the cigarette lighter, into the back of the radio, or at Junction Box #3 (behind/below the instrument panel). -------------------- Davey

if u want yoru lights to glow only when your cars on wire it to teh ignition fuse in your fuse box, if you want it on at night, wire it to your brake fuse.....

yea i wired mine to my light switch so i can also dim them and make them brighter....all i have to do is trun on my lights n then push the little 0n/off tab they give you and they come on

Yah thnks i got he wire and i connected it and it lights up nice but now theres anoteher problem. When i turn the key the RPM needle reads 4000rpm and wehn trhe car is ideling it reads 4500rpm and it goes from there. Its like as if 4000rpm is O (zero) and 4500rpm is really 500rpm which is around what its at before at ideling. U guys know whats wrong how to fix it. When i was putting thr gauges on i didnt know u were not suposed to take needle off and i took the rpm needle off i think thts why its doing this..

take the needle off...turn the ignition to ON and put the needle back on to 0 RPM. That should work.

No i tried that cuz when the ignition is ON the needle jumps to 4000rpm right? but when i try to push it donw towards O(zero) or move it any other way once u let go it just goes bacck to 4000rpm.?

Never remove any of the needles!
its a major PITA to get them recalibrated I found out the hard way and it took me a long time of trial and error to get them right |

To get my gauges accurate again, I literally spent all day pulling the needles off, putting them back on, and then reinstalling the gauges to see if they were right. I started with the tachometer, since I knew my car idled at about 700 RPM. I would put the needle on pointing below the zero line, then make a light mark with a pencil indicating where it was pointing to when I installed it. I would then reinstall the gauges, start my car, and see how close the idle was to 700. Depending on how close I was and which way I needed to go, I would remove the needle again and put it back on using the pencil mark I made earlier as a reference. When the tachometer was calibrated, I then adjusted the speedometer using the tachometer as a guide. (since I knew that in 5th gear, my car would do 60 MPH at 3000 RPM). I did the same procedure with the speedometer as with the tachometer, only this time I had to take a drive every time I wanted to see how close I was. The temperature and fuel gauge were pretty simple, it was mostly the tachometer and speedometer that sucked, especially the speedometer. Everything works fine now (my speedometer is 1 MPH fast) and I can assure you that I will never remove my needles again. And this is why I warn all of you as well to NEVER REMOVE YOUR NEEDLES

i just removed the rpm needle, start trhe car then put the needle back at 0. it it works fine now.

lol. i been fiddling with my tach n everythn n just left it till i feel like messin with it again. it says i idle at 4000 rpm n im at 45mph when i start my car. lol goin 130mph is awesome xP

If you have a sat/nav it's no problem refitting the speedo needle. also take note of your idle rpm when engine warm and you will have no problem, it ain't rocket science.
