ey guys so i jus replaced my brakes n there wasnt that x shaped clip in place. (drivers side) what is this thing? i seen it on a diagram somewhere on the site, but i dont know what it is for and if it is necessary for the brake to work properly. i have yet to look at the passenger side cuz i ended up goin out for dinner with the gf.

they hold the pads in place to lower squeacking i believe. I dont have mine, and advance autpoarts dont sell em...

anti squeel springs...they make a kit at the dealership for $20 a side...kit has 4 springs and the clips

Those clips must be in place otherwise there will be play twixt the caliper carrier and the pads.
