how much, should i expect to pay for a kit, and professional install? How hard is it to do it myslef? I want to do it myself but don't wanna mess anything up..?

mainstream kits run as low as $500, but 6gc hinges are anything but mainstream. custom kits are usually around 850. u should never have to pay more than 900 unless they're the automatically lifting ones.

professional installation varies but shouldnt cost more than 1000. It's pretty hard to do but not unpossible. The pictures on here should give you an idea of what to expect. The only thing i wish i did differently was i wish i cut the fenders more instead of rolling them. rolling warps the middle of the fender outward and there still is a small amount of rubbing.

i have never done something that was more of a pain in the ass then this.. i havent got the door to line up yet.. this job really sucks to do and i only have one side kind of done.. is it more easy ti line the door up without the shock on?

I think it's harder to line it up without the shock. It REALLY helps if you have other people helping you out with this. The first time i installed these, i needed someone to hold the door up and stuff, but the second time around i did the job solo. Yeah one man lambo door job is tough smile.gif

the kit is used from a 6gc member.. and i do have my dad helpin me hold stuff but its still hard.. maybe i was just really tired last night i got a late start thinkin i could have it all done by 12 but now its sunday and its not even part pf the way done

I also bought my kit used off a 6GC member (forkee). It can be a pain, but it's all about trial and error. Basically, my doors still don't line up perfectly, or open good. I just need to find the time to micro adjust them.
