well i live in cali also... i got my 1995 toyota celica ST for 5500 base price and tax and all bumped it up to 6500 it had 139k on her but she is in very clean shape still runs strong. i see GT's running around 4500$ in the paper but i didint have that in cash so a dealer i went so i got raped frown.gif anyhow always buy in cash if you can and look up in autotrader.com and it wil tell you the average of what the car is going for.

you could have mine, but transportation from michigan would be quite a b****. it all depends on your price range, you can find a flawless 99 GT for about 12-13K still, but you can find just as nice of a 94 GT, just with higher milage but runs the same for about 5K, both are in essence the same cars (not much was changed besides the fascia and a few cosmetics)... but it all depends what you are wanting to get... some people may warn to steer clear of the ST version, but the ST has quite a few advantages IMO.

I'm new as well, we'll learn together lol. I got my '96 ST Hatchback for right around 7,5. 65,000 miles, and runs like a dream. Only wish she was a little faster.

I do...=D

I bought my 94 ST for 8000 with about 79k miles (fried)
Bought my 2nd 95 ST for 3600 with 76k miles (daily driver)

Here's a clue...by a GT... If I can go back and do it...I'd have a GT.

st probably has a little lower insurance rates but not much

GT is faster than an ST. some people say that its easier to turbo the ST (7AFE) engine than the GT (5SFE) engine. but if you ever want to do an engine swap and want more power (who doesnt?) then go with the GT.
