Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires.
They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show. These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon. The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these tires. This is what great R&D will do, and just think of the impact on existing technology: A.) no more air valves... B.) no more air compressors at gas stations... C.) no more repair kits... D.) no more flats... SCAN DOWN AND SEE. These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin. pretty cool huh???? -------------------- -Derick

repost.
I dont think the final product is actualy going to be clear, I think its going to have a side wall and the pics are just to show how it works. but its very cool. looks at how much rubber is flat on the groud in the front driver side of that audi while cornnering, very nice. -------------------- |

i submit that it's more of a gimmick than anything....i think a solid tire would make more sense. using several layers of material with different durometers would probably yield similar results.
it's a novel concept, but i doubt anything like that will ever make it to production. i would go into details, but it's not really all that big of a deal. -------------------- do you know who i am, mr. worley? |

interesting concept... many mods possibly... lights or something like that.... or cover it with a rubber type thing... to make it not seethrough, that kinda kills the look... also the rims you got wouldnt fit on that tire...

dont "rice" out the car... Nos sticker... if you have no nos...blah! also keep in mind you can get pulled over for the washer tops.... and wire them to a switch and to a fuse so that if cops are around and it is illegal you dont get in ****.... as far as the valve covers.... autozone has em, right along side of the washer sprayers
