So I got the mounts installed along with a brand new Excedy stage 2 clutch and all I have to say is WOW! Its like a new car! It handles like a dream and has so much more power to the ground. HIGHLY recommend them. I could see that some people don't like the vibration, but I LOVE IT! then again, I love my exhaust which is very loud anyways.

Basically, if you want the handling and don't mind the vibration, its worth it.

P.S. Installation was fool proof. Super easy when you changed your cutch.

QUOTE(lagos @ Aug 2, 2006 - 2:50 PM)

a while back, i contaced a guy that sells motor mount inserts on mr2oc, about making some for our 6th gens. i figured it would be a great upgrade for anyone who has a gt or a swap. i got the first set of inserts a few weeks ago and instaled them this past weekend. they fit great and a nice upgrade over the stock mounts. you notice a lot more throttle response, smoother clutch engagement, as well as shifting, and you feel more connected with the engine. it should also greatly reduce wheel hop and help with traction becuase the motor wont rock back and forth as much as it does with the stock mounts. the other cool thing is that they insert over your existing mounts, so if for some reason you ever want to take them out, you can.

here is a pic of them installed on my car.

finally... here is a pic of the rear motor mount that i filled myself about 1yr ago. it worked well at first, but as you can see it didnt last long

last but not least, there is a really awesome Video review that an mr2 ower made about the mounts. i have to say that i pretty much agree with everything he said about them in the video. the install is a little bit different on our car then the mr2, but anyone with some basic tools can do the job. took me about 1-2hrs to do the whole thing.

direct link to the video:

link to the website that did the review:

link to the site/person that made these and will be selling them. all sales questions should be emailed to kirk:

Did you read Lago's post you just quoted? All the info is there. smile.gif

Also just found out that the inserts for the 90-93 will also fit the 86-89 GT and GTS, so we have them for all 86-99 Celica's with the 7AFE, 5SFE, 3SGE and 3SGTE engines. smile.gif

so the pros are better feel and stuff. what are the cons? jsut the vibration? isnt this bad for engine? of for chassis? I`m not sure what has been done, but after engine rebuild on my celica st185 there is so much vibration in the car that some plastic parts start to rattle. and if i push the gas pedal while in 4th gear and at ~1500rpm, the car vibrates really terribly.. would this help?

P.S. i havent installed the inserts, but just planning wether its worth.
