Hello, i need to get a new induction system for my GT4 WRC as all my pipes are cracked and old, but the samco kit that is commonly sold for the 3SGTE's doesnt accomodate a connection for the anti lag manifold.
I get the general idea of a anti lag system, and im still kinda new to the modding scene so forgive me, but im looking for a way to keep the anti lag system and uprate my induction system. In the image above, what is item 1? as this is the main thing stopping me purchasing this: http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_detail.php?prodID=4512 Also i want to purchase this induction filter: http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_detail.php?prodID=1721 But obviously item 4 on the other picture doesnt leave enough room for it. An ideas? |

1 = Stock BOV
2 = Part of ALS but its empty within. That Samco Hose only replaces the part I encircled blue. This post has been edited by Kadett: Oct 28, 2007 - 12:41 PM -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!

Thank-you for that, its cleared a few things up for me, i guess i only have a few questions left:
1. If i did want to replace item 4, so that i could get the apexi induction kit, then i would need to somehow modify one of the pipes to accept 2 more connections, one for the BOV and one for that other pipe thats on there. 2. i could stick with the HKS induction kit....? but i dont like the fact that its not a dry filter, needs to be replaced ever 10000 miles and needs cleaning more often than that. p.s. you said the anti lag system was empty? is it doin anything?! 1: I believe if you buy the entire Apexi Kit, number 4 is included, but I dont know for sure. But why dont you just buy the Apexi universal Air intake filter and mount it on the existing piping. Only thing you need is a reducer to mate with the existing pipe.
2: I still use the stock airbox, I take less airflow using stock filter above sucking in hot air. The ALS system is not activated and I dont know if it can be activated at all. Its just one other thing the WRC has. But for the longetivety of you turbo you dont want the ALS activated. Ok. I did not know that the ALS was not activated, that makes my options easy.
Remove the ALS (have to find out how, i know its linked into the manifold) Buy a enclosed induction kit and channel the air from the front Khank-you for your help Kadett, you seem very knowledgeable in this area. |

You can remove that bottle/cilinder from the IC without any concerns as long as there is a BOV connected to it. I dont know in what degree you can remove the ALS pipes from the manifold section itself. Thats a question you would get a better/faster response off if you go to www.gt4ec.net or www.gt4oc.net -------------------- JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!
