No, you dont move the sub around for sound depth. just try facing it a few ways and see if it is better. You don't need to point the sub towards the driver either.

I was thinking about getting a 1/2 farad capacitor. Do you guys know if this would make a big difference?

I think I'll get it just to have. I don't want the amp taking power away from everything else. -Matt |

I haven't even got my sub installed yet but I've tried readin up on them and seems like i read on this site somewhere to improveing your ground wire (move it closer to amp and possibly get a bigger one) could help the dimming problem
like the setup by the way i got the same sub except its 12 inch and its 4-ohm This post has been edited by pepsiman: Nov 1, 2007 - 6:57 PM |

QUOTE(soven @ Oct 23, 2006 - 3:04 PM) It has been proven many times that caps are a band aid fix and places extra stress on your electrical system. 90percent of people who have dimming headlights etc is due to grounding problems. Upgrade your grounds and you would not have any problems. The factory grounding of the celica is especially pathetic in the engine bay. wouldn't it be cheaper to just fix the ground and save his $40? (well except for the cost of the new ground wires) |
