well, since they bought me the turbo kit basicly prefabricated ( i just had to install it all to fit the 6gc, and make it reliable) its hard to give a price on everything.
since the car has been up here theyve spent ~2500 with paint and all, plus 500$ for the install of all the parts & motor.
i gave jim and shannon a great price on labor, cause they are good friends of mine.
after what they have been thru with the 5th gen they originally had and the shop that totally screwed them on the install back then, and the swapped car, i built this with the idea that they will be able to just DRIVE it, (other than your basic mantinence of course) with no worries, and am confident they will be able to do just that, for as long as the ebay turbo holds out, or till they decide to replace it, whatever comes first. wink.gif

no, not even close.
read the first post.
i dont feel like retyping the whole story.
lol.

thanks for all the kind words guys.
projects like this take time, planning and most importantly, MONEY.
there is just no getting around that fact, even with a 150$ turbo. hell, theyre oil filter relocation kit cost more than the turbo, hehe for that matter, so did the BOV. AND the battery relocation. even just the t-bolt clamps and couplers totalled more.
cheap, fast, reliable. pick any two.
IMO there are spots on this setup that you just HAVE to bite the bullet and spend the money on.

Did you use any sort of FPR for this or just straight pressure from the pump?

no FPR is required for this setup.
just a walbro pump, feeding the stock rail and FPR.

you dont NEED one, but its also not a bad idea to have one. all depends on what you're trying to do.

if your setup uses the same fuel mods as shannons (400+cc injectors, and a 2 bar map) you dont need one.
you could use one to raise base pressure a couple psi if your close to your fuel limit, to gain a little headroom, or vise versa, meaning you could use it to lower pressure a couple psi to compensate for injectors that are a bit too large.
other than that, or building a monster setup, i dont see a need for one on a 5sfte.

sorry to revive an old thread. just wondering if the turbo ever pooped out? also, were there any issues with hitting the radiator fan shroud? my turbo is pretty close to it already, I couldn't see how adding a 2 inch long adaptor would fit, unless the t3/t4 is smaller or shaped differently or something. one other thing, with the external wastegate being where it is, would it still be possible to leave the oil cooler in place, or is it necessary to relocate it?
