quick question to make up my mind. Right now i have the stock air box with a K&N air filter in it. I'm considering buying the Injen Shortram intake. what do you guys think? do you guys like the injen intake. what will be the difference?

If you already have a K&N drop in filter in your intake, then you will not notice much of a difference switching to the injen short ram intake. smile.gif

keep the stock setup, make sure your bottom reservior was removed to gain the difference

thank you all. the main reason i was asking was mostly because i found injen intake (94-99 gt) for $118 including shipping (brand new), but removing the bottom reservoir from the stock box sound like a good option (thanks LewFX). anyways, here's the website for the $118 injen intake. Let me know what you guys think...

Removing the lower intake box might not be possible for you to do, because you need to remove your front bumper to access the lower airbox. And I believe your front extentions are molded on mhm.

you do not need to remove your bumper, just jack the car on the drivers side and have at it.

Just jack the car and remove the plastic in the fender well, maybe your tire too and you can get the air box out. No need to take the bumper off.

118$? That's a lot cheaper than advertised in many other places. If you do decide to purchase the product...Let us know how it works for ya. I just began working on my Celica as well, do to school and such I haven't really had any extra cash >.< . So yeah, let me know if you do buy the intake from that site.

well, i bought the injen sri from that website today. i'll post pics and let you know how i like it. i've been looking into it for too long, so figured since the price is right, i might as well just try it and get over with it. wink.gif

i believe he is talking about the reservoir that the stock air box connects to. it should be infront of the driver side wheel well behind the plastic protector. its a big black box looking thing that goes through the driver firewall.

Sorry to be a pain, but I've long been contemplating this whole intake thing and my best options. Could someone please post up a picture or a diagram or something of what exactly this is that's supposed to be removed in this scenario?

Hey wnats the bottom reservoir? Me and my dad both drilled holes in our airboxes. He's got a 2006 corolla. I notice a difference. Is the bottom reservoir like the bottom of the box or somethign?

bottom reservior is under the car and attaches to the fender piece...its just restricts allot of air because its got a few small holes in it
