Solara's are cool.

Exhausts on Camry's are not.

PS: Is that an intercooler on the silver one?

^ Unfortunately if you think about it, solaras are camrys as well ( same chassis, same v6 but I believe the 4 cylinder camry of that yr shares the engine with 6g Celica 5sfe )
Anyway my point is the reason people think fixed up camrys are stupid are because no one ever thinks to do it. Ive seen supercharged solaras and camrys spank STis and Evos not to mention countless 3sgte/turbo engined camrys destroy most things on the road. Theres one guy who has a fully built turbo 1mz running 10:2:1 compression with low boost hittin enough WHP to kill supercharged vettes
A Thread on his GT40R Camry
I think the whole thing leads back to that the camry/solara was never embraced like the Accord chassis. But you never see people clownin on fixed up 4 door accords.

well.. the new ones arent bad
what i was saying was if you see an accord fixed up youre not gonna be thinkin its "weird" or "out of the ordinary" like one would think if they saw a fixed up camry

200hp stock from 1mzv6.
214ft/lbs stock
But my SLEv6 curb weight is around 3600lbs
Thats probably 900-1000lbs heavier than 6gen celica
so stock solara v6 auto vs stock celica auto I got the celica by maybe... 3 car length to 60? I dunno youll have to ask my sister ( we had a tiny race when she bought her 6g celica GT )

Hey, I don't drive a Solara and I weigh about 380 and I'm 6'3". Sure it might look a little funny when I get in and out but once I'm inside its plenty of room. More leg room than a sedan at least...

only accord i like is the 94ish coupe
and it has to be done right
4 door accords and camrys are both family cars and i point and laugh at every one that is "fixed up" that i pass

but hey this is my opinion and last time i checked upgrading a car is about personal preference right?

Yea, upgrading a car IS about personal preference but so many people impose their preferences on others. A prime example is that these BMW guys were clownin on my car sayin I drive "what is basically a dressed up camry which is a piece of **** in the first place". I think thats sad. I think its sad that people can't keep an open mind and are so narrow minded that they have to hate on other cars. Everyone has their taste. If you can see work being put into a car, you dont have to appreciate it but certainly dont talk **** and laugh just cause its not the same kind of car that you have. My friend jordan with the camry has put in more physical work into his camry than richard has into his widebody turbo solara, and all people can do is clown on his car. Thats weak. And besides that on this forum of all, I would think it would all be in the Toyota family right?

anyway I think its sad that people are so narrow minded. This is why certain groups of people will never along frown.gif

that silver solara is nice. Personaly i like both the camry and solara's. I gained big respect for them when i met my buddy Kingston. Hes got a 94 4door camry with a TRD supercharger highboost pulley on it. It goes like stink and a half. Nice pics.
