I wouldn't say that a v8 will not fit in the engine bay, this 5th gen managed to do so, engine bays are similar in size: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C0veAb-CiM but i will have to say that it wont be easy. Good luck to you if you decide to do so though. smile.gif

Edit: and i just remembered at the recent chino hills meet there was a 1st gen with a tundra motor in it... engine bay may be a little bigger, but goes to show you anything is possible. ( and it was already rwd)

Dude.... This is the video that gave me the idea. I got this video on my favs. Lol.

you have to remember a couple if important difference between that 5th gen and our celicas are the 5th gen is an all trac with all wheel drive.

Our celica's do not have awd drive train, therefore we can not easily put a V8 rwd in our celica.

OH................ Thats some good info. Lol. Deaamn. I got some researchin to do. I guess its a 6 cylinder I'm going with. I know somebody said I'm not capable of doing this but my dad is gonna help me with it and I need to learn somehow. Thats another reason why I'm gonna do it.

if you stick in a 8 cylinder, lift the car, then you wont have clearance problems with trnsmission...
