Hello all.

Just wondering about the carbon fiber dash kits that a few people seem to have. Are they from Alka Plus? If they are how do they fit? I've heard the aluminum ones don't fit real well so I'm a bit suss on them. Also are they just a stick on piece? Last question, is there anyone else who does them?

PS I'm the new guy at the moment. Check out my profile. Nothing to exciting done yet but there should be plenty to come.

I know most of the "carbon look" dash kits are just stickers that you apply over your stock dash piece itself. Some of them aren't real carbon fiber, they're like the Pep-Boys "carbon look" black and gray checkerboard. kinda lame. I can get the real carbon kit here in Indy for like $350.

I'm just using some Gray paint and painting my dash pieces.

Thanksfor that. 350's a bit much. Christmas present for me. How about the alka plus ones? They say "Real carbon fiber" and charge more for it.

I'm not sure. I'd have to look at them. The ones I can get here are actually made of carbon fiber, like the entire dash piece itself. but Idk. Do you have a link for it?

If you want a full actuall carbon interior, there is a TRD set avaible for RHD cars, i donno how much it costs, but ive seen it on ebay for $300USDish
IPB Image
the peices are all like your original dash peices, but made entirely out of carbon fiber.

The Alka plus ones are like the brushed aluminum ones in the parts database. Alka Plus. How often do the TRD ones come up¿ I haven't seen one on there.

The Alka Plus kits are essentially a sticker. They go on over your current dash pieces to give it a different look. If you don't believe me click on their site, and click on the installation instructions. It says to remove the adhesive backing and place the idividual "sticker" on the dash.

You could always purchase a roll of Carbon Fiber and mix together some resin and make your own pieces.

I was thinkin that. Just gotta find time and maybe some spare interior parts that I can chop up for parts. Do full CF not just wrap a piece. Dunno, might be a bit hard.
