Can some one tell me how to rebuild a starter!??! cuz it seems like my car is not startiun.. every time i try to started everything shuts down.. and no power goes thru.. i try to jump start it and it wont even crank.. so i think is the starter..

Let me see if i can remember I haven't done this since I was like 13 or 12,,
There should be bolts on the bottome of the starter take those off. Then slide the shell off the started. you on the inside of the shell there should be iron plates. Then on the starter body there should be floating plates. you have check them all to make none are brunt down. Then take out you multimeter and check for continuity Hows that done really don't remember right now. I'll have to look it up.. also check to see the gear clicks when you push and pull it. if the plates are damged you would have to replace them. You should be able to get them at a parts store if they still sell those things. put it back together and check it works with 12V. I know their is more I'm messing. When I get home tonight and search for a how to I wrote once is know one else give you that correct answers. -------------------- |
