i hate the new sti model. the hatchback look isn't doing it for me. i'd get a 04-05 model over the new one any day.

lol subaru really knows how to drop the ball. I think it's a self imposed curse or a genius purge that keeps only real die hard subaru fans around because everytime they come really close to a winning combination and dare I say a popular car, they always do something to it to screw it up.

It's grown on me, it's considerably wider than the standard WRX hatch

I really like the new STi. If you've seen them in person the front looks awesome. It looks more mean in person. In pictures the sti looks like a whimp.

the new looks of the STI grew on me too. when i 1st saw it, i wasn't really ready to accept it.. but the more i look at it the more i like it. only thing i don't like is the grille but no worries bout that.. SUBARU gives you the option of a sports grille. and it now comes with the navigation option with aux input which is a +1 for me. it's now got more color options and 18" BBS rims. i mean it cost more than the mazdaspeed 3 but with more HP and AWD, that imo will be a better choice.

ms3 with full exhaust n intake (and warrenty still) with some tunning walks all over current sti's n evo's on the highway

from a dig, awd pulls ahead a car length or two due, but the ms3 soon catches up after abotu 2 blocks

similar tuned ms3's are runnin low 13's
12's hit when the boost is upped + race gas

total spent on ms3 grand touring with nav : 25,400 out the door + 600 in upgrades

i like the car, has plenty of room, rides great for day to day driving and still corners hard. pulls hard on the highway for a wagon, and not to mention insurance under 100 a month for a 22y/o

i dont feel you can compare an ms3 to an sti since the new/new price ranges are so far off (fully loaded ms3 is a hell of alot less than a base sti) but.. when you equate the price difference... imagine how much work you could do the the 3

not to mention... when a 350 tries to run on the highway or anywhere... i love the looks on their face as a wagon just pulls away n keeps going

Only problem with the BBS is there are only available if you spend about $39,000 on the STI. They cost about $2,000 and aren't available unless you get the navigation package. Yeah, I thought that was real dogcrap too

nobody buy an impreza for how it looks, they are all pretty much ugly cars, the new ones are more "mainstream" looking to attract more people to the base model. imo.
hell, 6gc's > all imprezas wink.gif

I got the only impreza that I consider good looking, the newer onces just got bigger and rounder in all the wrong places, and the latest just made it look closer to every other cal on the road so yeah, 01 imprazas FTW.

i love the body style that you got ^^ i think they should have stuck with that

seems like they are getting away from their rally heritage and going for a sporty daily driver. imo... 40k is a bit steep in my opinion. plus the secret has been out on them with insurance companies for a while

a lot of people hated scions at the beginning too, but eventually the overall functionality and toyota reliability won them over.

the new impreza will probably be a similar phenomenon. people will sit around and carp about it until the fateful day they actually drive one...and the tables will turn.

i'm not saying i find it attractive. it makes the bugeye look like concours material. it's also far too expensive for my tastes as well. but you can't deny that they perform.
