So if you had a 1996 Celica ST Hatch with ngk spark plugs an intake what would you do next what would you add to the beast we call the CELICA?

1000 to work with, hmm... Well technically with a grand I cant boost becasue a grand wont be as near as reliable. I'd get a coilover set-up, with the 1000, but if I wanted some power with handling, I'd just drop it on some teins IF my struts were in good condition. The rest I'd convert intake assuming its an sri to a cai. I'd also get some ebay header and custom exhaust. 1000 to me is way too limited. I say research on what YOU really want out of your BEASTILY celica and save up for it. By the time you spend a grand on the little things like header and exhaust, you'll end up wanting the 3s motor, or even the 20v black top. You'll drop it on some springs and struts then realize you could've been better off with some coilovers.

I say stick with the external and interior, you won't get sick of. Some jdm projectors and tails? maybe the trd quickshifter? strut bars will always be there when you upgrade suspension look into them.

KYB GR-2 struts with some Tein S-Techs or other type..

sway bars.

rims/tires.

the ST model celica does not have many bolt ons..hell, any 6th gen celica for that matter..

it also depends on what your plans are for the celica. is it your daily driver? going to be a project car? how many miles on the engine?

sway bars and bushings, bilstein shocks and gf210 springs or any springs that's 30% stiffer, brakes, roll fenders to get ready for rims.

sell car, add 1k on what u make, buy a better platform, or another celica wiht a 3s swap maybe

Lets omit that suggestion, there is no better platform

aight well, what are ur intention"s i would save up a bit more maybe another grand or so, and turbo it, or just do suspension work and call it a day

get yourself a good clutch and shortshift kit or the trd quick shift = those together is an easy 5bills gone, with the remainder...ebay headers should cost you only 100USD...and use the rest to take us all out to a bar joking.

Save it until you have more then do something big.

If not then trd quick shift, suspensions and upgrade brakes if you are planning on going faster.

dont dump money in your car on worthless projects that make your car look 'ghetto'

start with suspension mods. get some springs that lower and stiffen the ride, for daily drivign 30% stiffer is a good amount 15-20% stiffer would be more suitable. springs, sway bars, rear strut bar

then get a muffle so your car sounds "race" like so you can have an ego with friends and such.

then by the time you have enough money to do some serious mods to the car, you should know what you wanna do with it, or sell the celica for something newer, faster, nicer
