I thought for weeks that you would do something like ohh I dont know a laborghini conversion or maybe some other fantastical supralesque/porshika/whatever mod. It's simple why... ask anyone around about Toyota's bumpers welding... Than ask about welding two bumpers together like this: This is not some fiberglass fake copy... this is made of original Toyota bumper materials!!! -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)

^ It was damaged, man. He had the excuse, LOL.
I gotta say that was nicely executed. I saw it, and went, "Hmmm, stock GT-4 bumper but has an SSIII bottom. Is my mnd playing games with me?" It looks awesome. I always secretly wondered how thtat mix would look and finally I get to see it. Congratulations, man. -------------------- |

lol... I would never cut new GT-four bumper . Thanks to bodhi I had that upper grille part from his crashed GT-four... but my problem is I just do not like that lower part of OEM GT-four bumper... dunno why but I just do not like it . I like that 96+ lower part with splitters ... however... honestly Rom and Gerald are right as well... that TOM'S lip would be nice .
and agree... this mod is only for enthusiasts... common folks would not notice any difference at all This post has been edited by malpaso: Feb 11, 2008 - 3:39 AM -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)

no way you cut up a gt4 bumper wow i wouldnt have the ballz to cut up a gt4 bumper.......great job once again. so when are the rims going on with a nice photo shoot?? As said, the GT4 bumper was busted up. I was going to take it to the rubbish tip but Martin asked if I would cut the middle out and send it over. It sounded like a great celica project, so I couldn't refuse Martin, the finished bumper looks stunning, you must be grinning constantly! Excellent work and dare I say, I think it does look better than the GT4 bumper!... although I don't think I can take a saw to my black one lol. Absolutely love the colour too, can't wait to see it with the new rims fitted too! I like that 96+ lower part with splitters Oh man - you beat me to it! I've always said the GT4 bumper just looks to square-ish to be on such a completely rounded car. I was hoping to do the same but I didn't know how yet and I don't have the $ to throw at it like that. Now I won't do it cause that's not right to do to you. I was gonna use the OEM splitters tho. That looks 100% better than any Celica I've ever seen - almost exactly what I want my car to look like except the color [which is beautiful BTW - I just have a thing for black] and the splitters. a few times it has crossed my mind to put the gt4 hood on my carand have the grill vent thingy on my pre-96 bumper butthat would just look really ugly. after i realized how much i like the 96+ bumper i thought of how it would look and if it was worth doing... but i didnt have any money so i just forgot about it.
anyway very nice malpaso. best looking front end on a celica hands down |

If somebody else want to do this, I have a front bumper skin sat in my back yard gathering errrr.....rain, I dont mind chopping it up the same as above and sending it to where ever.......It was promised to someone else but after over a year they have never tried to claim it.........I will try one more time to contact them to see if they still want it.....if not its up for grabs (offers) + postage
