i am curious as to whether or not bolting on a 3sgte head onto my 5sfe block will work with out running a turbo on it. i want to make the 5sfe faster if possible but have done some research and discovered that nobody offers any aftermarket performance for the 5sfe. if i am able to swap the head what would i need to make it run efficently.

it'll work... but it'll NEED to be built. Look up "5SGE"... and... it's better to just swap in a 3SGE.

QUOTE(19mr291 @ Feb 15, 2008 - 8:12 AM) i am curious as to whether or not bolting on a 3sgte head onto my 5sfe block will work with out running a turbo on it. i want to make the 5sfe faster if possible but have done some research and discovered that nobody offers any aftermarket performance for the 5sfe. if i am able to swap the head what would i need to make it run efficently. AP This will work, with time and money. BUT if you are planning on swapping in the 3sgte head and now turbo on your 5sfe block it will run like straight up DOOKIE. If you want power and stay all motor, why not just swap in the 3sge? -------------------- 98 Celica gt red- totaled deer
