hey guys, anyone know where i can get white dials for my ST hatch. i found a few sets on ebay but i think there for the 2.0 models, i presume they wont fit!?! Ideas?

why wouldnt them fit, just compare. Take a pic of your gauges and openit up in your computer and open ebay and see. e-mail the seller with your pic to see wht they think.

The only differences are: The St205 has boost gauge, so don't get that!

The other difference is kph or mph and also how far the speedo dials run up to. My lockwood dials came with a 120mph and 180mph dial face! Most companies however give you the option!

My dials are MPH so the jap dials wont work i think. That one in the pic diagram (kph-mph conversion) is perfect though, any chance you know where i can pick that up?

Im also thinking of getting some White Lockwood dials to replace my glow gauges, but i was wondering on how you fit them?

My glow gauges were easy enough as the holes are big enough just to slip over the needles without having to remove anything.

Are the lockwood dials just the same, just slide them over the needles?

They come with installation instructions! But you can't slide them over the needles. Instead use two teaspoons to gently pry the needles off! You will however have to record with a mark where the needle rests without being stopped by the little black pin. Then once you've installed the face and pin you will need to instal the needle as you removed it and then wind it up over the pin so that its spring can be reset. this may take a few attempts to get perfect. I particularly found this quite difficult to do on the fuel and water gauges!

The advert suggests that you can just slip them on but I did not find this to be the case but I did it ages ago and was very inexperienced with cars!

Maybe I should've spent my money on those Lockwood ones instead of the authentic Denso guages....

Yeah the lockwoods are pretty good! They light up well and have a cool white display during the daytime and depending on your led colour the background at night comes alive! The markings around the dials glow green!

Im still playing with different Led's for the best coverage, From what I hear the SMT ones are the best, just haven't got around to ordering any yet! When I do i'll probably be go for SMT white! Should look the nuts!

whoa, SMT for the interior gauges. They dont fit, they are miniature... They work with the radio trick i did.

u can buy leds with smts mounted on them, yeah. Well you can use SMT, you will have to add resistors and have somewhere to mount them. But these babies can do the trick
