Ive had both good and bad experiences with the mods.
They have been there to back me up and take action on things that I thought were inappropriate but there are times where I think that they have not acted properly. IE. I have written them with a complaint and will not get a response which I find very unprofessional for such a professional site. I also do not care for the smarta$$ remarks when a thread is closed. I feel that if they just locked it hten questions would arise so a simple answer should be given as to why its being closed such as copy and pasting a rule that it is going against then locking it. I also do not think that once its locked that another mod should be able to go in and say their .02 and then lock it again. Everything has its pros and cons and with authority comes those who think they are also above the law. Oh well. Taking about a 6 month leave from here definitely let me let go of how thigns are ran on here. I appreciate the site for what it is - a group of people who have a whole hell of lot more information about 6gcs and are willing to share. -------------------- Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City

coming from a supervisor at there work i know what its like to be "in control" of a group of people and sometimes being strict is how peace and order can be kept...if those members had a problem with their posts being closed for whatever matter then i think they should talk directly to the mod who closed them

No, this is a Fantastic site, Fantabulous infact, no, FANTASTERIFIC
But the way some of the moderators, moderate... is pathetic at times. Not to mention some moderators are not open to new ideas or any idea different than their own. -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! I have an idea. Lets make a section called Zach's corner. Ill be the mod. You can come in there and act an ass all you want and post whatever you want. I'll only ban the people who post intelligent responses.

This thread reminds me of a relationship. One side is never willing to accept the critiscm and say that they will try better themselves and compromise on making things better for both parties.

Don't misunderstand me - the way people percive you is not your fault. I have done my research. In fact I was a guest here for a loooong time before I ever joined up. My problem is with the way people are willing to overlook this obvious problem and actually defend it because "Manny is a God" or something to that effect. I actually have quite alot of respect for your accomplishments with the 5S-FTE and Celica's in general. I just don't agree with shutting down a thread over one comment made by 1 of 10 people using the thread. I have further problems with the smart ass comment usually attached to said thread closure. If you read back a few other people on here agree. It shouldn't matter how long they've been here. -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. But people need to learn to calm things down sometimes. I mean I HAVE seen it where there's a heated debate about something on here and before it got out of hand, both parties simply agreed to stop before they went too far..now that's cool. -------------------- |
