there's a sticky out there about them
if you are planning on getting them, and can afford them, i HIGHLY advise you to do so direct replacement for your current headlights. you need to spend about (highend) $6 to get h3 harness's you then either pull a wire outta the harness, or dont use it, feed it into your existing 9006 harness, then plug it into the bulbs that usually come with your lights if you want HID then om culpable about a set of h1 lights in whatever color temp you would like high beams use same bulb as your current ones so no need to get new bulbs (they use 9005) and the infamous corner lights... if you have these working, makes your car look soo much cooler. its a 194 bulb, ive heard some projectors come without the socket & harness, comparing side by side it is possible to modify a regular side marker socket to fit pretty easily, if it does, just wire it up (you could either rig it as your turn signal, parking light, daytime running light, rigged to a switch, or however else you can think to do it) here's some pics for ya: projector with 6k? hid light (note how awesome it looks!!) heres a shot of the corner lights (in this are considerably DIM led's - inverted single led, i do wish to add the matrix ones to make them much brighter, but they are bright enough as they are. shot of light at night, notice how its FREAKIN BRIGHT - they are more than just pretty lights i have a couple others, and i plan to make a very very detailed writeup about everything involved because i get atleast a pm a month pretty much explaining corner lights, hid, or whats needed with the projectors. stickie on projector wiring http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=27644 stickie on hid into projectors http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=42381 one thing about HID into the projectors though... since they were probably designed to function with halogen bulbs, when you put the hid bulbs in, they dont fit too well... they are a bit wobbly. you get bright spots and dim areas if they arent in just right. i, took some tape tape, and used that to brace the back of the bulb so it outputs light evenly and brightly. the majority of the light comes out so the top of the circle is just at the cut off and the rest of it spans across the ground. took me about 3-4 hours to get it to work how i wished, but could probably re-do it in under 5 minutes knowing what i do now -------------------- you know why they put sheep at the edge of a cliff.... that way they push back!
(2:27:32 AM) edit: please f*cking work, f*ck, sh*t, piss (2:28:08 AM) edit: that did the trick |
