Ok problem is now solved, the car wasn't properly grounded.

My next problem is that the check engine light does not come on when i turn on the ignition. I checked the fuse and it's ok.

I don't think the ECU is not powering up. Are the any wires to check to make sure the power to the ecu is properly connected?

Another question, what is the black with orange strip wire coming out from the fuse box in the engine bay? Would this the wire that powers the ecu>?

Thanks

You need to buy a new battery.

If you left it for 2 years the battery could be dead enough to short enough current from the donor battery to stop a succeessfull jump. This happened to a freinds battery after only a couple of months.

To be sure borrow a battery that you know is powefull enough (i.e. not from a 1.0 litre car) and swap it in (Remove yours from the circuit). If it still doesn't start then you know for sure you have something more serious.
