so i live is Iowa and in the city i live in i have found 7 6th gens all of witch i try and turn around and see if i can pull up next to them but every single one thinks i am trying to race them lol. i jsut want to talk to them meet some oen that lives by me that has a 6th gen. i ran into a kid yesterday talked to him for over an hour and he was asking were i found parts for my car and i told him the buy/sell on 6gc.net and he is like o never mind.... what the hell i love this site is it illegal to just go to each car at night and slap a 6gc.net sticker on the back window!!! lol (I am not going to do that) but ya out of the 7 here not one belongs to this site and i dont understand why 5 of them are modded and 2 of those have alot of money in paint and body they are nice looking cars!

usually if you go to them they think you are crazy. Show off your car. Let them come to you and ask.

At least thats my experience. When you approach somebody they think you are stalking .

I tryed talking to one when she was walking past me after parking; i said something like "Hey, is that your celica?" and she said something about her boyfriend was a football player and scurried off

The other one was a guy and he told me he didn't have any money to give me/not interested in buying anything when i asked what kind of work he had done to it...

I've never even gotten to mention 6gc.net to anyone... people are so fcuking stupid... i really have a problem with all these damn sheep in our happy little (crashing) society...

stick the flyers on their cars. Now that it's not raining as much, I'm gonna start doing that. Meanwhile I've actually tried to recruit a few people from Craigslist! People looking for Celica or 6th gen parts, I'll email them and tell them to look in the Buying/Selling forum on here and what a great site it is!

so i got the chance to talk to one of the kids he was a little younger than me but cool kid but was telling me stuff about the car like i didnt know.. then proceeded to tell me how his friends are going to put a ebay header on his car and a muffler and CAI and be running 170hp.... its a st btw and i explained to him if he gained 15hp from all of that i would be surprised and he told me i didnt know what i was talking about!!! i was angry but ya i was like him once. then he was saying how he cant find tail lights for his car for under 85 each so i aked him if he ws looking for the usdm jdm or what and he said no i dont want those clear ricer ones.... (i was hitting my self in the head by this point) and explained the difference and told him this site has a great buy/sell thread were he could obtain many parts that he cant buy from our local auto parts store but he said he didnt want to join a web site its not safe.. but ok atleast i am making head way!!!! their might be hope for a IA meet some day!!!!

Dude! I posted on Craigslist too in the "Missed Connections". I want to find other 6gc's, or at least the celicas who want to start something PERIOD! The good news? Most people with 6gcs are female here in town. The bad news? Them suckas ain't gonna want to modify their car. Solution? I ugh.... don't have one.

find out a regular spot they go. park your car. start taking some pics. then wave them down when they make eye contact. look cheerful. i got it easy down here cuz all i do is shaka then the convo starts

The fliers help. Most people outside of the Houston Crew ive meet, either dont know anything about thier cars or think they do and dont want to learn. i havnt meet anyone outside CarbonDude, and he found me on here, Past that i dont have a lot of luck outside the Forum.
