The fact that his friend was in ICU for months and will never be the same because of him is punishment enough.

The fact that his friend was in ICU for months and will never be the same because of him is punishment enough. Most people dont see it that way, including the people that cause the damage. This is a number one reason why kids should not get new cars, and even more so the reason why kids shouldnt be given Turboed or high horse powered cars. To me this is why i got into tuning in the first place. Why first car was a Turboed Ford Probe. Fast little car, and i went over some train tracks at about 80 mph and went flying. i got lucky in that i didnt hurt anyone or myself, but the car was never right after that and final craped out. Its a fact. When you put blood, sweat, and tears into something you appreciate it more. When you have it built for you or Daddy gives you the keys to a hot rod things like this will happen. Kids are going to drive fast and play around in cars, we did it, some might still do it.... ..... But when you had them a fast new car, that they didnt pay for, build up, or doesnt even belong to them, this is the result, everytime. |

Actually iirc, Nick built that supra up (w/ his dad's money) but he did most of the work on it. But I totally agree that anyone under 20 should not be allowed something soo fast and powerfull. Of course even kids w/ pos Escorts and such will drive fast and do stupid stuff -------------------- |

^ I hope no one was in the back seat, damn.
I think Nik got off lucky w/only 8 months. He was completely reckless and absolutely should do jail time. I hope he at least learns from this entire experience and can use it to do something positive to give back. -------------------- |

Wow, Best Friend was not buckled I don't see how the heck would someone refuse to strap on a belt in a car that fast. Unless he was doing something else that involved arching over.......
