Has anyone actually taken the rear end of a gt4 along with the diff and everything else including ecu and without mod installed it sucessfully? would everything line up correctly?

yes it has been done a car was on ebay like 2 or three years ago.

you mean like cut out the entire rear floor pan from a gt-four and put it in the celica?
and swap in the entire engine, drivetrain and suspension from the gt-four?



yeah, it's been done.

I think, up to date, everything to get our celi's to be converted to a GT4 has been done.
Even the big AWD conversion project has already been done and succeeded by a couple members on this site.

well not so much cut out the floor pan but just the put the subframe and axles and diff in to make it all wheel drive. will this just bolt up?

no it does not just bolt up...
the rear end of a gt4 (floor pan ect.) is different than a usdm celica

Plus some folks like to go half the way and build a 4WD instead of AWD; when they cant find everything they need.

You need the whole rear clip from the st205 because the gas tank is on the other side for the biggest essential.
