I browse at home and at work. I have noticed the new software seems to require me to log in all the time now. Is it because it automatically logs me out when I use the other computer? If so, can this be fixed?

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

Nothing should have changed concerning the login system. I can browse from multiple computers (work and home) and not ever have to log back in. Are you logging in using the forums or the main site?

Same problem here. Everytime I close my browser, I have to re log on.
I haven't changed any settings.

I'd clear your cookies for this website first. See if that helps at all.

Like Randy, I have changed no settings. I log in by typing www.6gc.net in my browser and hit enter. Now, I just sometimes have to log in. I haven't really paid attention if its immediately after I use the other computer but I check that out.

I haven't had this problem whatsoever since the upgrade. Supersprynt is probably right, clearing your cookies should help. Be sure to close and restart your browser after clearing cookies though. They can be temperamental about that kinda stuff.

I used the same isp yesterday and stayed logged on, today a different one and logged off again,
I would guess that has something to do with it. I never had this problem before, it started
around the software upgrade.

For me it will log me off at random times while browsing 6GC. Sometime I choose reply and will start typing my reply and at the end it will say I am not logged in.

Also it seems everytime I leave 6gc.net and come back I have to log in again. It started happening after the upgrade.

IP address as soon as it changes logged off again.

It sounds like the problem might be with how your work computer handles cookies.
Check to see if your works sys admin did anything to prevent cookie storage, or if you have some type of anti spyware app running that might be causing the problem.
