I'm either ridiculously stupid or have the worst luck EVER!!! This is the second time I have been caught with my windows completely open and it starts raining. First time I'm at the mall buying a new phone a service and have no way of getting back to my car specially in a hurry, in the long run I ended up without a stereo for about 6 months because of that one. Then tonight I had my windows open, my gf and I get back from dinner and I'm thinking maybe I should close up my car, but nah I'll just do it when she leaves right?? BIG MISTAKE!! About 10 minutes before she's about to leave my mom is like, hey do you have your windows up its raining?? I run outside try to start my car and nothing, battery is complete dead! I then realize after a hectic 15 minutes of getting a tarp and stuff to cover my windows that had turned my car on earlier in the day. Idk how many people know this but you can leave the headlight switch on even after you turn your car off, opening the door deactivates the headlights shutting them off, but when you just reach the window such as I did today and shut off the stereo headlights remain and drains the battery... frown.gif So my car gets wet very wet frown.gif frown.gif frown.gif Stupid or just bad luck?? You be the judge

A little bit of waterwon't damage anything.

I once left the 2 windows down and the sunroof open completely overnight during a rainstorm.

Everything had to be taken out of the car and dried in the next following days.

Well there isn't really a stereo to steal, I highly doubt they want my stock tape player ha.. And I live a small town and I'm sure that if anyone non-familiar came around our block EVERYONE would know about it, plus I didn't like leave it like that over night or anything, well only because there was no power, but that being said nobody could have stolen it.

I always put my windows up, even if its nice out. For a few reasons...Rain, Someone stealing my stuff/stereo, someone playing a stupid prank on me and filling the car with balloons/packing peanuts/etc., or just one of my friends getting in it and messing around with my stuff. LOL. Just put your windows up and close the sunroof all the way, it pays off!!

I left my top down once last week. It rained overnight. I should know better, in Oregon.

I'll always close my windows, but if its super duper hot and if i know for a fact it won't rain (look at the sky) then i'll leave the windows slight;y down revealing a crack for some air circulation and same goes with the sunroof or i'll just change it to the moonroof....i left it in the moonroof (tilt) and it rained but nothing got wet...i did this a couple times..
Anyway for me when i keep my lights on, and turn off the car, it'll turn the lights off with it.
