that my friend, you will have to ask him. If they work
Yes most every part on that list would be used in one of our setups. But; there was one or two things i think just don't apply to us. You could resell, or IDK... Just remember to do your research before starting into a boost project; that's only like half the stuff you need. sever, honestly, piece it together yourself. it will take longer, and it might cost u a bit more $$$ but in the end, ull know u have a quality build going on, and not something that was purchased off ebay, and are unaware of certain parts quality, or correctness.

you will regret it if you rush it. take the time, get more money raise your budget and get everything you need to turbo and and prepare the engine to hold more power

Honestly, depending on where you piece together your kit from you can have a reliable turbo setup for around 2k. The build im looking at doing only costs 1800. and i have had many friends who have done similar low cost builds with fantastic results.
Given, those builds were not meant for 250+whp but usually ran about 8-10 psi and they have had no problems This post has been edited by SilvertopST: May 26, 2008 - 5:06 PM |

sorry im only planning on spending 2k for the turbo kit...not everything...but it still shouldnt b more than 3k for everything.i think thats a pretty good deal This post has been edited by Kerr1: May 26, 2008 - 9:06 PM |

3sgte rods = 50 bucks (thanx bccentaur)
getting the crank turned to fit= 300 bucks custom pistons w/ rings 9-1 compression=550 toga HP rod bearings=40 toga Hp main bearings = 60 arp head studs = 150 thats right at 1200 bucks and w/ those mods alone...no headwrk we can run more than 8-10 psi....prolly closer to 15psi...im still doing research but this is what i have done to my motor so far. but i should def. come out cheaper than 3k...after buying all the turbo parts.. Sever i would listen to them and save just a lil more money and do it right the 1st time and have a hellacious 5sfte. my opinon only tho. |
