How are we supposed to be the mack-daddys of the universe? Speaking of aliens, NASA found bacteria on mars. That's alien life!! I believe aliens are real, and smart enough tp stay the hell away from us!!! Oh no no I mean I don't believe aliens have visited us. I do believe there is life of some sort on other planets though. -------------------- |

My wife swears there is a ghost in our appartment...
One occasion, durring the night, my wife and i asleep; my daughter (at one month old) was removed from her swing (with the seat belts on) and was found with a bewildered look on the floor... My wife just started screaming "where's the baby, where's the baby" and by the time i had sat up, she had found her on the floor, UNDER her swing... This happened again one evening when she was asleep in her crib, and when my wife went to check on her, she was laying on the bed. Now, there is no way for a 3 month old to escape the crib, then climb up the bed and go back to sleep. (those without kids, 3 mo's is nowhere near the time of crawling, walking, nor climbing) Freaky... -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! The majority or people don't believe in these type of things and don't care too. So, when you publically talk about ghost or aliens, there will be people who doubt you. For me, once I saw the title of this thread I thought "cool, I know I can contribute to this thread b/c I'm into these types of things". But, it is definately something you belive in or not at all (even if something does happen that's unexplainable). -------------------- |

Some of the Houston people might remember the old Haunted Psych Ward Hospital in Down Town. They turned it into flats for Art Students, and then shortly after that tore it down.
Well before all that, it was a run down old Hospital. Back in the 50s it was run by a slue of corrupt doctors who would test new drugs, medical tools, techniques, etc. on the psych patients that stayed there. they would infect them with all kinds of things and then run test on them on the 4th floor. When they died, they would just dispose of them by taking the body to one of the windows and slide them down a shoot to the ground where they would stay for weeks at times, then be taken to the crematorium that they had on site and burn the body's. Now, before i tell you this, keep in mind that i do not believe in god, demons, angels, etc. I believe religion is a joke and should be banned for society. That being said. We used to go up to this place every weekend and explore. If you gave the security guard that watched the place money, or if one of the girls we hung out with fixed food for him he would let us in till day light. Anyways, One night, i went up to the 4th floor and started walking around, There was a wide circular hall way that rapt around the whole building, with scattered rooms through out the hallway, the shape of the hallway was rectangular. I walked up the stairs and walked around the corner. down one side of the long part of the hallway at the very end was a shadow of what looked like a man in a lab coat standing side ways to me. Now me being me, i figure its just the way the moon was hitting a hole in the walls or something and paid it no mind. As i started walking down the hallway toward the shadow it moved, again, im thinking just just wind blowing something around to make it move, or the closer i get to it, the lights is making it look like its moving. so i keep getting closer and it slowly starts to vanish till i finally get right up on it and its gone. so i round the next corner and start down the other side of the long part of the hallway. And the shadow had returned on the wall on the fare side of the hallway again. Now i start to wonder. i stop and stare at this shadow thinking how am i seeing this. I start breaking it down. The moon was to my back when i started down the first hallway. Now its in front of me and still there is a shadow. i know im the only one up on the 4th floor because there is only one stair way up and the elevator (no surprise) is broken. i also know that the 4 people i was with were in the basement. and didnt follow me because it took me forever to find my way up to the 4th floor in the dark so they would have a ruff time finding it. And i could hear them from afar, at max they had made it to the first floor. So theres just me and this shadow. and it hasnt moved while im thinking all this stuff. so then i think. Ok its a homeless guy or someone else is up here with me. Now im worried for a different reason. I grab my knife and start to walk toward the shadow again. It starts to get away again. I run. round the corner, start at a dead run and round the corner to the first long hallway in which i had started. The shadow was on the other side again of the first long hallway. Now, im not a small person, and can be out ran, but im not slow and we are talking about a long hall way, the shadow is not appearing to be bent over to catch its breath, its just standing there, side ways, but this time its looks more like its turned in a way to be looking at me while still looking to the side. Now im really freaking out. Logic trying to grasp what is happening, failing with every try. It didnt make since. But again, me being me, logic is telling me there is a explanation, and i want to know whats going on. I force myself to get over it, and run after it. It vanishes around the corner, i turn the corner into the second long hallway and the shadow is back on the end of the second hallway. this time i didnt stop, at a dead run i chase it to the end of the hallway and around the corner again to the first hallway and right as im running to head for the other corner again, The 4 other friends that im with come up the stair and yell BRANDON!. When i tell you i almost justed out one of the broken windows to my right, im not kidding. Scared me so bad i almost attacked my friend Kris with my knife. I realized it was just my friends. and calmed down slightly. They where asking me what was wrong, as it came back to me that the shadow was still there, i run out of the room i had ran into out of fear and came back into the hallway. The shadow was gone. on both sides. I didnt understand it. When i walked back into the room where my friends were standing, the same room i had jumped into when they scared the hell out of me. they where staring at something, i walked up to them and looked. It was a room that has been torn down minus the floor and the entrance. In the middle of the room was a pile of ruble. Growing out of the ruble, was a dead tree. no leaves, no green. just decay. The full moon was right behind it lighting it up, with a cloudless sky. It was, by far, the most beautiful thing i have every seen in my life. the way everything was lighted, placed, just the whole thing was like looking at a dream or something. we stood there for a good 5 min just staring at it. Then i realized that we were standing in one of the rooms with the shoots that the dead bodys would have been slung down to ground level. I know this because this side of the building still had parts of the shoot still hanging on for dear life. It was like the building wanted me to see the sight. marked it with the dead tree and all the light a night could give a open space. to show me or us where it all happened. I dont know to tell the truth. But i know what happened. No cold air, no fussy pictures, no moaning, no chains in the night. it just happened. I took a camera and was snapping shots through out the house. I wanted to take a picture of the tree in the room. But i was out of pictures in the camera. I have one picture left of that night, my and the 4 friends i was with, at the front of the buildings front door. The others where lost or distributed between the 5 of us. But i never got a picture of the tree. I wish i had because i dont know if i will ever see anything like it again. |

I believe in a lot of stuff and I've had some experienes with ghosts and supernatural happenings as well. My father had had a dream where he was fighting a demon because when I was a kid for one Halloween, i dont know why, but I really liked the pumpkin (jack 'o'lantern i made at school) and I put it on the ground facing my father so I could look at it too. (in my living room back in the day, we had a futon, and a mattress sitting on the floor) and yeah...
But a lot of my brother's friends played the Quiji board thing and they all had weird occurrences like sleepwalking, or things moving around in the house, or waking up in the basement sitting in a chair and can't move (explanation is that a ghost is sitting on you), or floating from your bed, or even restrained down to your bed (i had this experience as well--and explanation is ghost sitting on you). I have a lot more and my gf's family has a ton as well...but one very interesting one I heard was when my gf was in highschool, her class or some of her classmates were walking away from the school to go home and crossed a park but still from a distance, they saw some kind of green light emitting down from the sky and saw things shooting down from the light, and as they walked closer too approach w/e this is, the greenlight vanished. Next day, the classmates were telling people in the class/school and some others started saying, "woah you saw that too?!" But all in all, about seeing ghosts and poltergeist and w/e, I believe it could be that you have some strange energy wave that's attracted to you that's caused by you walked through/by something, oryour own inner belief and your heart that causes you to be able to have this "sixth sense". Because all in all, we all have telekinesis however our minds don't know how to function nor trigger it. It just takes that little edge that pushes ourself to do so. Also, I'm not sure if you've ever heard of Texas Rd. It's in Canada located in Amhestburg, its about an hour drive from where I live and people like to come here because..they're bored and want some thrill? And there are I believe 2 or 3 books written about this road where at this one barn there was 16 girls beheaded, and over this bridge in the little woods area, there was a girl who was hung, and another was where a schoolbus full of kids was murdered on that road and there's also a cemetary across the woods and people have seen lots of messed up things... As for religion, I'm a Bhuddist, but even more so, I don't believe that our "Gods" or what you may call them. But, I don't believe in praying for their help; I believe that they are just provide us our spiritual support which gives us a sense of motivation to continue moving on in times when we feel weak and low. I believe that they are simply watching us and seeing us make the decisions that binds our life in how we structure it because that is the ultimate goal to life is in which how we turn out and what we make of it in the end. There's more to life than to just live. (haha i don't see how this line relates to any of this but I really like this line, and felt like putting it..ofcourse until my friend mocked me and started saying "There's more to life than to just drive.") i have a strange way of believing i think. I dont believe in god. but i believe in Karma. I guess because i feel that its been proven to me that Karma exists. And to be honest, I think if God came to me and spoke to me id kick the crap out of him or die trying. Because if there is a god or higher being that is sitting back watching this world kill itself, then i want nothing to do with it. Its like seeing a truck 100 miles away and not moving the baby that is sitting on the road before it hits it. If we have souls, where is his? I dont understand watching destruction and not trying to stop it. And people that say "Hes stopping it in his own way" or "its gods will that this happened" well forget that. If this world dies because humans couldnt get their **** right, fine. But if there really is a all powerful out there that just let it all happen to something it created and could have the power to stop, then i want its head on a spike. This is why i dont believe. (Free Will.....Its the greatest gag of all time. Look...But dont touch......Touch....but dont taste.......taste...dont swallow.....and while your running around in circles what is he doing? Hes laughing. Laughing his Freakin head off... worship that? HA!) < may not be a direct quote, but still one of my fav lines of all time.
Now, you want to look at something less sentient like Karma, then that i can get behind because it does not boast the ability to control, or make things happen or change things. it just is, it just moves as we move, the choice we make determine its actions. we are in control. not being controlled, or guided. That i can get behind. Again, in no way im i trying to offened anyone. This is one of my fav topics of discution and im one of the few people i think that can have a conversation about this without letting it get heated, so i tend to run off at the mouth about it. So im a big history buff and religion has been a study of mine for sometime know. And from what i have gathered its all man made to make us feel better about how small we really are, and to me thats lying to yourself and hinders you from seeing truth, not the truth, just truth. Religion causes people to be and do stupid things. things that do not make since. I always thought it was funny. When a person Kills in the name of god, he is mentally ill and miss understood what religion was telling him. But when a Ozzy or Manson fan kills, its the artists fault. A, thats a double standard. B, It proves, to me atleast, and religion or belief in god or any higher being is false, because its proves that people need something to blame and something to praise. And if you go back through history, youll see where it all started to come together and people started these wild ideas. Ill bet you can trace it all the way back to cave man days. Im not trying to start sh!t or close the thread with this comment. Im just stating how i feel about what i like to call the Typical Spiritual Idea. And how its stupid and that there could be something way bigger then what most people see or want to see. My store did not make me believe in the higher power, just that there might be something more then just black and white. As for Bigfoot and all those guys, i dont see how something like those creatures could have stayed hiddin in this day and age. So until i see it for my self i dont believe that they could still be around, if they existed at all. But its possible. This post has been edited by Havok1997GT: Jun 12, 2008 - 11:25 PM |

Supposedly, only christians (not just the title christian, but anyone who does or will eventually believe in a "God") are the ones who get to see these things. They are also the only people how can be possessed by demons as well. One "ghost" experience I had that another was lucky enough to see was when I was in the 6th grade.
We had just moved in this house across the street from my great grandma, along with other family members who lived on this street the same time. The history behind this house that I had (to be fair with any prior knowledge or stories was this) was a time 1 year before we moved there. My cousin Carmen (it was a boy) was outside of this out in the driveway with me and a friend of the neighborhood, as he lived with my great grandma across the street. The house was in an untidy condition, as the lawn was unkept, and gave a dismal feel to it. We were all laughing and talking and when things got quite, he said that house was haunted. I laughed at him and said "Yeah right foo, you only say that because of the condition it is in", and we left it at that. My mom was having trouble with my brother's dad and we left him. To keep me with friends we moved to a house nearby the school district (little did I know, they were building a new school in this area) and we ended up buying that house which was fixed up and ready to sell. With all that was going on, I never thought about a year before the condition it was in or what my cousin had told me. The 2nd day of moving all things in with my family there, my brother's dad busted into the house and stole my little brother. The family so scared did nothing and eventually later that evening he returned my little brother to home and left. The 3rd day, I was in my room drawing when I heard the doorbell ring. I went to answer the door to find 3 of my little cousins there and my cousin Roxanne who is the same age as me (which was about the age of 11 at this time). They asked if I would like to come outside and hang out, and I said "Sure, I just need to put somethings away real fast". I close the door almost all the way on them, but leave it cracked. Now the way the house layout is from the front door, you have another set of doors to your immediate right. That was like a den area which had another set of doors that led to the hallway. There is also a window in this room. From the front door straight is where we had a piano and to the right of that wall is the hallway that leads around the den area. This hallway without the light and windows drawn is always somewhat dark. Then following the hallway down to the left is the bathroom door, further down and to the left again is my mom's bedroom. Straight ahead from the hallway is my little brother's room, and the hallway turns right and to the left is my room, following down all the way is the garage door. The den, we usually kept those doors open. As I went to my room to put my things away, I walk from the hallway and cut through the den to the front door. As I made my way halfway through the den, I noticed I heard my feet dragging on the floor. I remember my mom telling me not to walk like that because that is how lazy people walk and so I stopped, but I heard the dragging of the feet continue. I look to my right which is where I heard it, and in the hallway I see a shadow of a short man walking down the hallway. I almost freaked out but remembered that my cousins were outside. Perhaps someone was shuffling their feet against the concrete and their reflection from outside was shinning through the closed blinds, and the little light that projected through them. Then I thought maybe one of them were in the house and trying to scared me. I get a snicker on my face as I open the front door, but the look on my face when I seen they were all there put them in worry. They quickly asked me what was wrong. I couldn't say anything out of fear, and I grabbed my cousin Roxanne and put her back to the beginning of the hallway. I am not sure what possessed me to do this, but I remember telling her "Just watch, just watch". She was looking around with a scared look on her face, and from what little shadow that outlined her body that was cast on the wall, another shadow walked out of hers and you can hear the feet dragging again as it begin back down the hallway. We both bolted out of the house to tell the rest of the family what happened. How I felt comfortable enough to sleep after that was a mystery to me. I do recall having a dream of my great grandfather whom I never got to meet, as he passed away before I was born. After that dream, I felt more at ease living there, not sure if I believed that spirit was of him or not. Even though I got into witchcraft at an early age (5th grade), things did happen that required me to sleep with a night light til the age of 12. Laugh all you want at that, but the night of my 13th birthday and up until my 25th birthday, I began to experience sleep paralysis. You can look that up if you like, my symptoms were the sightings of demons. If you research this, you will find there are only two ways to experience sleep paralysis. One is an out of body experience, in which my dreams that took place happened in my location at that exact time of sleep. Two, is the sightings of demons, in which when I woke up from these dreams, I could not move, but felt the presence of fear within the room, along with 1-5 shadowy figures that either stood above me or walked around my room. They say the average human being may experience this 1-2 times in their life. I have experienced this over 12. The more I go to church and read the bible, the worse and more common these experiences come. I do believe in God now, but I do not go to church or read the bible because I am not willing to deal with these things in my life right now. But when I do, they come back again. Uusually when I go to church, there is a week period of bad things until the following Sunday where I decide if I am to return or not. Although when I did give my life to Christ again 2 years ago on an Easter Sunday, not so much has happened when I did go to church. Just that last episode of Sleep Paralysis on my 25th Birthday, which was my worst experience. There are more things that have happened to me, but I would rather keep that personal unless I feel comfortable to share with anyone who cares to hear it. I have written enough as it is, and even now question if I should post this or not. Although I will go ahead and post it. Sorry, I type what I speak out in my mind or say aloud. Just out of curiosity, how many people do you know have had a dream within the the present, to the past 5 years who has dreamed of a "Blood Moon"? What I mean by this is an object in the sky that is large, like the size of the moon, that appears to be on fire, or has this strange red aura around it and is followed by fiery rocks hailing from the sky? From a religious stand point, this was 1 of 3 Revelations I had come to me in a dream. My cousin doesn't believe in God, nor does his mom, but she too had a dream similar to mine about this "Blood Moon". My cousin mentioned something about a planet or large star that was in a photo taken of the sun or around the sun, and this red ball in the photo was supposedly what might doom the earth in the future (possibly if prophecy is true 2012) with falling rocks. Again, even if this is true, it is not the end of the world, but there will be a major disaster "supposedly". I mentioned this to another person and they got freaked out. They said (another non-believer in God) that they heard supposedly near the end of times (For this person, rumored, as again, they do not believe) people will dream about these fiery rocks falling from the sky or something like that. I dunno what to make of that but then again, I do not burden myself with what is not at hand. Anyways, just curious. -------------------- 91 MR2 Turbo SW20, 92 MR2 Turbo SW20, 95 Celica GT ST204

(btw who believes in psycics?) lol So what's this? It isn't possible? (This isn't a ghost, but it is of supernatural nature and these things are very possible) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSLBtm__aKw The reason why I decided to show this was because something similar to this happened with me and my ex, with two objects passing through one another without harm or any alteration to the other. It was during a fight her and I had, and we realized what had happened after we made up. Things like this happen to people more than they realize, but because it didn't have lights, a big booming voice, or was recorded, they easily forget. I dunno if you ever experienced a miracle, but I have. Like many things in life, those who are grateful enough never forget, while those who take for granted will easily grow bored with such things. They make excuses for it and claim it was coincidence, when most people who are older come to believe that all things happen for a reason. Regardless of what you believe in. Oh! Another one for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kE_C1FXRo20&NR=1 I suppose people do believe what they want to believe, but if you ask for proof and get this, then you decide if you accept it or not. Unfortunately you will never know until it happens to you. Actually, I believe science can explain some of the paranormal phenomenons that occur (like ghosts and poltergeists).
Certain areas of the earth have very strong magnetic fields. Human beings carry a certain amount of electrical charge (that is connected to our nervous system). Apparently when traumatic events occur in these special areas, an imprint of that magnetic image is left. I think the documentary explained it something in kin of how a small metal needle can become polarized when held close to a strong magnet. So in a similar fashion, the magnetic field captures the "essence" of a person, which for unexplained reasons, manifest themselves as "ghosts". These image captures occur more often during traumatic events because of the amount of electrical activity that occurs (in people) during violent/stressful events. Sorry, I saw this on the discovery channel a few years back and don't remember what the show was called. But a quick search on google might reveal some more info on this theory (yes, it's just a theory so read it with an open mind). As for myself, I do believe in ghosts because I myself have experience some unexplainable occurrences (one of which still spooks me today when I think about it). EDIT* I might as well share my "experience". Once, in my old house, when I was probably 8 or 9, I slept in my living room on a couch (don't ask why). The room had two lamps, one of which was position at the end of the couch that I was sleeping on (by my feet). The other lamp was across the room. I was sleeping with the blanket partially pulled over my head when all of the sudden I was blinded by a light. I opened my eyes and stared straight out from underneath the blanket and saw no one. The lamp that was by my feet was apparently turned on (I could see the other lamp was not lit). I didn't dare peek from under my blanket, but I kept staring out from underneath the blanket towards the center of the room, hoping to see whatever it was that turned on the lamp that was at the end of the couch (by my feet). I was just a kid, no freaking way was I going to get out from underneath that blanket! After about what seemed like 30 minutes, the lamp simply turned off! I was terrified! No noise, no motion I could detect at all. It just turned off with a click. I couldn't hear anyone there, no breathing, no noise whatsoever. I stayed up for the rest of the night until enough sunlight entered through the windows for me to "safely" peek from underneath my blanket. There was nobody else in the room besides me.... I still can't explain what happened that night. Then there was another "incident" that totally freaks girls out whenever I tell them about it... I love the jump from "I don't know what this is" to "it must be supernatural."

I find it amazing that people can do this. Ghost = Don't believe Scientific explanation (Theory just as belief) = When the world is facing the sun at exactly 38 degrees from when it normally does, when the weather is about between 80 degrees to 90 degrees and the human has had a cold within the last 2 weeks and had plenty of protein in the diet, they are then able to see what appears to be images because of the right mixture of magnets and light flowing around the body. It would also be that they have enough iron in their blood, and the right amount of vitamin C in their diet, which allows for this to also happen and blah blah blah..... Nobody takes things for what they are anymore when all things...... Religious or Scientific are all theories. Science does give an explanation of events that take place but with no reason for the cause. You kind of have to take both things into consideration if you want purpose within these events. Or be like an animal who doesn't give any thought to such, and just grazes off the land with only concerns of food, shelter, and breeding. I love the jump from "I don't know what this is" to "it must be supernatural." I am only leaving room for debate. You are the one who is stuck in one spot. That's all. I think I did list with "People will believe what they want to believe". I was only defending against what you said regarding Youtube. If you want to get technical, Supernatural is extraordinary, correct? So if I am not sure what it is in a sense of what is ordinary, supernatural seems fitting, no? btw this threads going to be closed in 2 days max. I don't doubt it based on how it's going so far. Common guys, he just asked what all of you're opinions were on the matter. Not to try and prove how one or the other belief is wrong. Let's try something new and try to keep the thread open for a while. -------------------- |

[ I love the jump from "I don't know what this is" to "it must be supernatural." I am only leaving room for debate. If by one spot you mean until I see tangible evidence that any of these things exist, then yes. No Youtube video or TV show is going to change that. They are on TV to get ratings, you want to believe everything you see on TV you go right ahead. But in the real world here, ghosts, goblins, demons and whatever hootinanny you want to talk about, needs real world evidence. Supernatural means exactly how it sounds. SUPER NATURAL. Beyond nature, beyond the explanation of the natural world. Because you can't explain something doesn't mean it's beyond natural or beyond explanation. You simply don't know yet. Nobody takes it for what it is anymore? You mean people don't see things and automatically jump to fantastic conclusions because after all our time on the planet we finally can explain things using our brains and technology? Religious or scientific they are all theories? Here's a big big difference. Stay with me. SCIENCE IS BASED ON OBSERVATIONS. RELIGION DOES NOT. I'm dumbfounded at the fact that you put religious theories in a basket with scientific theories. QUOTE A theory is more like a scientific law than a hypothesis. A theory is an explanation of a set of related observations or events based upon proven hypotheses and verified multiple times by detached groups of researchers. One scientist cannot create a theory; he can only create a hypothesis. No reason for the cause? Wouldn't that be an important part of the explanation? Wouldn't that be the most important thing that people want to know, is why did this happen? The whole point of being scientific - is NOT staying in one spot. It's always changing what you believe to be true based on what is. Based on my observations, science isn't something your very familiar with. If by chance ghosts exist, and I became one, which I hope I would. I would do everything in my power to make people believe without a doubt. Such as forming in front of a large group of people and casually explained that I am in fact a ghost and ghosts do exist and look at all the creepy stuff I can do isn't it cool. But no you never get that you get a glimpse of something or a shadow or a cold chill or orbs of energy. Or how about bigfoot. With nearly every part of the world having this legend you'd think that maybe just maybe someone in the course of human history would stumble over some bones or a dead bigfoot because they aren't immortal. Do we have that, no. Or lets believe that the LochNess monster is in actuality a dinosaur that some how survived and has lived for hundreds of years even though the actual Loch cannot support an organism of that size. Think critically. Stop watching TV and going on to the internet to creepyabandonedhouses.com and purchasing Oija boards that finally allow spirits to participate in board games. EDIT: It doesn't have to be a basket. You can choose a carrying apparatus of your desire. This post has been edited by Supersprynt: Jun 13, 2008 - 8:49 AM -------------------- |

i think im pretty much in agreement with havok, i dont beleive in god but i do think what goes around will eventualy come around, ive seen it happen to people who i knew used to be arseholes and think they where the buisness and now they are pretty much just total losers that nobody cares for.
as for ghostly things, ive only experienced one thing, i had my car parked outside my friends house in the coutryside area over the road on the edge of a massive field, i looked down and put my keys in the door(my run around non remote pug205) and looked across the field, i then for the life of me am certain i saw a man or figure stood at the front of my car out the corner of my eye. 2 seconds later it hit me that i thought someone was next to me and i looked to the front of the car and nothing was there, so i dont know if i was just tierd or what but like said before, im a very rational person and think there must be a reason for everything therefor i presume it was just a figment of my imagination due to being tired but it quite freaky eitherway.. other than that, nothing special has ever appeared to or happend to me. boring. lol This post has been edited by mrgt4: Jun 13, 2008 - 9:16 AM -------------------- 1994 ST-205 JDM GTFour... fmic conversion finshed, project GT500 is underway
