You probably should have taken the 2 seconds to come to a stop. Then you wouldn't be in this situation, would you?

2 seconds..... thats it.... red means stop....not go.... hahahahahahaah
but yeah, i got given a ticket for not stopping at a stopsign that i actually stopped at and so i chewed him out and told him he better have a camera ont hat bike cuz im gunna tear his ass upin court..... and its safe to say he never came to court so i won... hhahaahah
but 2 sec to stop... das it, its not worth it, what if there was a car there and u didnt see it, thats how i got in a wreck, i was flyin through an intersection and a woman didnt stop and did a right on red, didnt see me, and turned 2 lanes wide.... so yeah... they do lead to accidents....
hahaha ill never forgive her too...

In Oregon they could impound your car just for not having proof of insurance. and not coming to a complete stop at a red light is 4 points on your license for "failure to obey"... A fine seems like a slap on the wrist to me...

If you break the law expect consequences. When you get tickets for crimes you don't commit you have reason to complain. I bet you can even go to traffic school to get it off your record. Like playr said... Be a man.

you shouldn't be thinking about whether someones on your left or not so that you may roll the stop. It's the kids and other pedestrians that may jump out unnoticed (right and left). Then you've got a bigger problem then a stop-sign ticket.

Okay, i gotta agree with everyone else; you broke the law, now your payin your dues.

However, i do understand that your main concern lies in $400 for a split second decision. Sure it wasn't anything major, and $400 bucks is pretty steep. I'll agree with that. $400 bucks is an outrage for a victimless crime.

However, it's just to keep you in the habit of stoping; because in the same time it took you to run that light, it could have cost lives. frown.gif

G/L paying your ticket. biggrin.gif

lol

i watch for people rolling through intersections... i aim to take off the nose of their car in my junker. instant insurance money out of their pocket biggrin.gif

we have camera's setup at most intersections where this would happen, and i know a few friends who had their $300 DD junker converted into a brand new car because of people like mr grape rolling through stops.

Well, usually for not having a complete stop at a stop sign, you're also supposed to get points as well.
I too had a rolling stop ticket and got charged $175 + 2 pts, but I got it fought off...check if your ticket has points, if not, then just pay it off, if so...i feel bad for you insurance aside from the overpriced ticket. The cop must've been a prick--you could probably fight it as an unreasonable ticket but up to you.

I actually find this thread funny, a 15 year old kid complaining about breaking the law and getting caught. Then he claims "i knew there was no one to my left so thats why i didnt stop...but guess who was on my left
a ****in COP" sooooooo there was someone on your left, that YOU DIDN'T SEE. So how can you claim to KNOW nobody was there, but there OBVIOUSLY was? Your the tard breaking the rules, you should be lucky you got a ticket and you didn't hit or kill anybody. If it was my decision after reading your post I would of suspended your license.
