ey guys. well i got an 94 Celica ST, 7A-FE, and i was thinking of putting an intercooler and a turbo in it, well my front bumper is a stock bumper and well i THINK its too small, so will you have to change the front bumper to a bigger one to install the intercooler??

No. It all depends on what size intercooler you buy. If you plan on running low boost, no point in getting a huge fmic.

--------------------
98 Celica gt red- totaled deer
94 Celica st black DD (bad weather beater)- totaled deer
95 Celica gt silver- chassis sold
88 Celica All-Trac (Burned to a crisp)
94 Celica gt white (sold)

In need of a rust free chassis!!!!

the intercooler just cools the air so the engine doesn't overheat, the turbo compreses the air making it hotter, without a intercooler the air would be to hot,big IC(intercooler)=cold air, little IC=warm air.If u run high boost you are compressing the air more making it hotter,if u run low boost the temp is not as high.SO if u run low boost u can get a small IC..personal message me if u have any other questions on turbocharging biggrin.gif

anyone know who that is....
he he
thats the same bumper as u with a IC

I see ur new here, If you plan on boosting it to a point that you need such a big intercooler that u have to change the bumper your going to have to do such an extensive job on the parts of the 7a that u minus well just do a 4agze swap or just go all out and do a 7agze job on er and have some real fun....

Just do a little reaserch on what it takes to get what ur looking for out of the 7a....

Id recomend hurlys thread, as it has a lot of detail in the 7a area....

Lets put it this way. If you get a huge fmic lets say 30x12x3 and you're boosting like 7 lbs. You will end up probably getting 5 lbs of boost.

theyres no easy way out... on these its almost 100% custom....

but stick with it, the reliability on toyota motors is outrageous..... screw those hondas... a toyota made to run will wipe out a honda any day... theres a reason toyota parts are 3x as espensive,.... lol
