Holy crap I'm tired. Anybody else's clutch leg refuse to work when they got to their hometown?
Lisa got tons of pics and vids too - gotta go through and edit them some.
Snap - no mod bashing - we just have a vested interest in keeping at least some fun left in the site. Hopefully you take some of what we said back to mod-ville and take it in the spirit we intended - love for 6gc.net.
You did an incredible job of mapping us a fun route and just overall taking the thankless task of leading the meet [A chore that is usually mine so I'm really happy to report you did well and I had a GREAT time sitting in the "backseat" for a change]. P.S. - you know when Ngofcukingway has such high praise the meet was an absolute success - pat yourself on the back.
Seems like everyone got home OK except maybe Panda and Havok who we somehow lost on the way home - even keeping it to 70mph speedlimit.
Everybody I met was cool as hell [hope you guys liked the stuff I brought you].
SA guys - we gotta get together before the end of the summer both in your town and mine [you guys'll have fun in my garage biggrin.gif ].
Darthripley and Just joe - you're car is amazing [thanks for picking an uphill spot to remind me why GT4 owns GT2 - buttholes tongue.gif ]. I'm sure if I didn't spend 4+hrs last weekend overhauling the coolant system I would have been in worse shape. Thanks in advance if you can help me with the heatsoke issue. I'll hit you up when I get to DFW to hit up Aaron and ATS - maybe you can show me some fun roads around there.

Pics coming ASAP.

The v6 swap looks great Collin, how does it perform in what was called spirited driving that was mentioned above?

Thanks Todd. smile.gif
The V6 was great. It really can pull hard out of the turns and onto the straight-aways with instant torque.

I've got a bad feeling about this pic that is going to be posted in relation to this pic (**cough scott cough**). You can see my legs sticking out - the pedal pad (is300 type) fell off during the curvys. woot.gif

Thanks, i'm glad you all enjoyed it. I think we have proved Texas can have a very successful 6gc meet.
I will say i agree with a lot of what you and others said. Its a balancing act on our end in running the "moderation" with forum rules, personal opinions, different personalities etc. smile.gif

I sent you a PM regarding the hot start issue - hopefully it will help.
please hit us up when you come on up to dallas & you can see the MR2 & Camry also. there aren't too many fun roads around here ... they only last for 5 minutes, not a nice long rollercoaster like the road snapshot took us on, but we can find something. wink.gif

Thanks again for all the kind words everyone & for welcoming us to join in smile.gif

We both can't wait for the next meet with more twisties to attack with a much better suspension ... one that isn't 18yrs old.
zero07 you did a great job sticking right to us - what's your suspension setup?

in case anyone was wondering why i wasn't driving ... i'm still learning how to drive a 5spd & i get nervous driving in a lot of traffic .. think back to when ya'll were learning & that's where i am right now. next time i'm going to be sharing some of the driving along with joe biggrin.gif

looking forward to more pics but especially the vids! biggrin.gif

OK here goes [You guys wanna see a bunch of pics? Cause I got over 100 - OK maybe I'll trim back a 1/4 of that].
The Trip Up to Austin:
The view I get when I race Hondas [ tongue.gif I'll fix the orientation later - I'm still working with a substitute comp running W97 mad.gif ]:

Alex's Fighter Pilot Pose [Practise for when the Poopra finally hits the streets - real Texas mansion can be viewed in BG tongue.gif ]:

Last pit stop:

At Champion Toyota In Austin [Oddly enough one of the sites of '04's Texas Toyota Meet I organised way back]:

The Cruise to the bridge:

The Bridge/Big Meet up of cities [SA, Austin, Houston, DFW, Lufkin, Victoria]

The cruise to store/in the parking lot [Last prep for the main event]:

The main event cruise:

I WILL INSERT VIDEOS HERE [Much much later - not even gonna try with this comp]
The halfway point/Good Texas BBQ!:

Lineup photos 1:

Back at the bridge/Parking garage for final photoshoot/Lineup photos 2:

Individual shots [taken throughout the day in no particular order]:

Random things we saw an photgraphed:
That's right: JR Ewing upgraded to a Texas Edition Tundra [Sadly enough this is no Photoshop folks]:

Supra boat!

Hardcore minivan

House boat for real:

Big Texas Scenery:

OK I'm done now guys - enjoy. I'll post a video or two later but I want to give Snap a chance to make an epic video from our footage before I post all the raw video.

I sent you a PM regarding the hot start issue - hopefully it will help.

I saw thanks. Not exactly good news that it's probably wiring related. I'll get myself over to alltrac.net and maybe you can get some of the techs over there to walk me through it. I'll do that and the first part of the speedo wiring at the same time. Then I'll install my SAFC-II and knock out the second part of the speedo thing at that time and hopefully I'll be finished with all that nonsense then.
Know any friendly knowledgable alltrac peeps in Houston?
BTW - I called Juan at the junkers this morning and of course he doesn't know WTF I'm talking about with the badges but I'll get myself over there and pick them up for you. He did say that since they were just badges we could work out a deal for beer - my favorite kind of bribe biggrin.gif . Soonest I would have them is Sat tho [assuming I don't get any oil change/tune up business in the meantime]. Don't worry tho - I'm on it.

QUOTE (darthripley @ Jul 14, 2008 - 1:00 AM) *

X2 man - enlighten us.
On that subject - the cruise highlighted some major defiencies in the sway bar/bushings and what not in the rear of my car. Anybody wanna get a GB on the side going for bushings, end links and maybe some upgraded sways? PM me if you're interested. Anybody who has upgraded these components LMK what you're experiences were.

Snap - PM me your e-mail and mailing address [I'm thinking I won't have any way to e-mail them to you - might have to put them on DVD in data format] so that we can get these people their vids. You got a teaser for them at least?

I just wanna say again that everyone I met [everyone] was really cool Sat. Nice to see everybody check their egos and just have fun together.

Erik (zero07) said he was on DropTech springs with some balding Bridgestone tires.

The first time around, I made the mistake of going through the course in 5th gear most of the way, so I didn't really have any power coming out of the turns. Bleh. Afterwards though, I was in 3rd and 4th depending on the turns. I think my suspension set-up did fairly well. Probably better if I had stickier tires like Joe's Falken Azenis RT-615.

Yokohama Parada Spec II's in 225-40r17 were what I was wishing for - they're damn near made for that kind of course [Sticky on the outside to hold the course, semi slick on the inside for the launch - would have been perfect for me] biggrin.gif
I wanna go back - tonight [just trailered with an A/C'd matching Tundra for comfort - hell I'll even take JR's version above with the horns tongue.gif ]

I will try to get a short teaser up within a day or 2 (maybe 25-30 epics seconds?). As far as a full video, that'll be a little more of a wait. I need to get some of the footage from you anyway. Maybe we should all wait for the final video? Who needs a teaser? tongue.gif
