no prob - with better suspension that should help you out a lot

Joe was at about 50% so not pushing too hard ... we didn't want to completely leave you behind

I was pleased with the alltrac's performance given the fact the suspension is old & worn & original to the car.
the only things we have to help around corners is a Torsen LSD in the rear + the Falken Azenis

Next time we'll have a completely redone suspension - GAB 4 way adjustable struts, Jspeed springs, whiteline RSB & new bushings .. should make the handling a bit better

Havoc, sorry to hear about your tranny, but glad you're getting it all fixed up.

If ya'll are looking to do a really big meet, Kansas would be a great place ... Heartland Park in Topeka is where the MR2's/Elises/Alltracs used to meet in past years. they have a drag strip & a nice road course so there would be events for everyone. maybe it could be an all gen Celica get together?

Sh*t - is it such that you can still drive but have no 5th or is it like the whole tranny is dead? Reason being is cause I'm getting an E153, Rear Mount, Axle Carrier and Axles from an SS-III clip here in town really cheap but it's not like I can rush the guy. As far as I know the clip is still not stripped down and when you're swapping that's not something you wanna do fast - best to take your time and label/photgraph everything you can. I know the guy doing the swap and if I know him at all it'll be at least a month before my parts are ready to go.
If you don't need it cause you're in a bind I still know one person who needs my old tranny anyway so no big deal any way you look at it.

What I wanna know is how cars like mine and especially Itchy's can drive around swapped on S54 and beating the hell out of it for years and yours takes a dump on a basically stock 5S?

Just so you know - It was the much younger people in my car that I left for. Despite the fact I'd been up since 6am, sunburnt, hot and clutch leg mutiny I was ready to stick around and/or head for SA

F*ck ya'll - I'm from Texas!

Sux - I can't see the video cause I just got a new comp and the firewall won't let me DL flash player but with Snap at the controls I have full confidence it was extremely well made. Our video is bouncy due to no car stand for the camera but we all went up a steep steep hill at one point and it [Appears] that Lisa couldn't bring the camera back up due to the G's we were pulling. It's great vid of Snap and Zero. As soon as Photobucket let's me finish the DL's I'll get them right up. Raw shaky footage but cool nonetheless.

Snap - can I get the raw footage and the vid you made for Houston Toyota Club's records? You'll get full ownership/props of course.

It kind of is for D-Man - he was the most psyched out of all the Houston crew and was the only one of us that didn't at least make it there.
D-man, Look at it this way tho - only Alex and I we're able to make the run in the hills out of the entire Houston Crew.

BTW - Houston/Lufkin/Victoria/and hell whoever else would want one - I got HTC stickers in red [of course - I'm out of the rest] if anybody wants one. Hell - Alex and I are HTC OG's - we'll give them to whoever we want. They get you 20% off parts at Joe Myer's and Don McGill Katy BTW.


Texas highways are 70mph Yellow speed limit signs are "suggested" but the 70mph stands in the absense of slower white speedlimit signs.

I cant drive around without 5th. I drive way to much just from work and back, it was bad enough driving it home. But id do more damage then just going ahead and fixing it. Its going to suck every bit of cash i have out of me but it will be finished 2mrw. And i can tell you exactly why it crapped out even tho its just a 5s.

1, people that drove it before me suck and dont know how to drive a standard
2, it has 222,000 miles on it. Give it some credit. I checked out all the reports that i had when i bought the car and i carfaxed it before i bought. Its never had any tranny work done to it.

Yeah, i am the happy-go-lucky type. Besides, i'd have liked everyone to take a look at my car before it undergoes a few changes. Oh well, ya'lls loss. (too bad that you didnt get to see the crapyest car that couldn't make it )

HTC stickers? I'll be haveing one. i'll put an HTC on one side, and 6gc.net on the other

And Texas hwy laws are pretty insane, hell, they've been known to be higher than 70 before. This is us facing a gas shortage problem But we dont have to follow the rules of the other states. We're still the only state that demands the respect of a country (and the only state allowed to declare ourselfs our own country...again...)

No - not saying anything against it at all. 222,000 is a respectable amount of time for any tranny to last and I'm sure the uphills on the way to Austin took a few more Houston miles out of her. Your gonna be lovin a new tranny anyway. Better get yourself to my house and pick up that other poly mount while you can for the rear since it will be out anyway - no excuse not to upgrade it [especially when I'm not asking anything for it]

hah! well i have to wait till the thing gets back to me first. But i think a trip to your place to hang out is long over due anyways. i got to get that Cover for under my CD player anyways.

Maybe not since we got you 90% fixed up - there were a couple of cars there with body damage worse than what you got. Plus we needed the representative Vert.
