id have to say the cup holder unless you have an auto
it is IMPOSSIBLE to shift with a drink right there

Its not Impossible. I can put in a Medium McDonald drink (0.4 liter) in it and shift without problems. Its only a bit awkward

You sorta develop a technique... i call it 'the crane. Hand on shifter, bend wrist to 90 degrees, elbow in the air tongue.gif

Hahahha So true!!!

2x i never gave it a name but thats what i did. now i use the cup holder to hold my phone. the change holder i use when i'm to lazy to unplug the navi from the car so i just pop the whole thing under the armrest while its still plugged into the cig lighter. also have been meaning to purchase a lighter relocation kit to save my thumb from smashing into it when i shift to first or drop the e-brake

i'm surprised only one person mentioned the hanger hooks for hanging delicate clothes for dry cleaning and what not....
do people actually use that?

i tried to put my graduation gown up on the hanger hook but uhh yea ended up on the floor in the back seat when i got there laugh.gif

The hazards - these things don't break down. biggrin.gif

i use my hazards all the time, when i race its a signal that the run is over and the person in the lead with the hazards on won

i would have to agree with backseat..the last time i had people in the backseat it was like gettin a nice set of lowering springs..bottoming out on the most ridiculous bumps and speedbumps were nightmares..

and as for that back seat, well idk about you but i find myself using it alot lately, but not while im driving if u kno wat i mean biggrin.gif lets not get into that though

ok all jokes aside, i really cant get my cigarette lighter to work, anything else i put in there works (phone charger) but the cigarette lighter doesnt even get hot so thats the most useless thing for me

I've owned my car for 5 years now and just found out I have seat heaters. That gets my vote, especially living in florida.

DUH! Replace the part that plugs into the lighter! It's like three bucks at any auto supply. Your heat coils are bad.

Love,
An ex smoker.

here's one: manual door locks switches. these are definitely useless if you have power door locks.. and for me, they're even more useless now that i have remote central locking.

i also hate it how they're so loose that when sometimes after closing the door, the door locks itself! grrrr

IMO, the most useless feature in ANY 6th Gen Celica are the 7AFE and the 5SFE engines. There should be a 3SGE IN THERE DAMNIT! Oh well. tongue.gif

5s can do some damage with a little work wink.gif See for yourself:

But it's true that a 3sge (or 3sgte rather wink.gif ) should be in every car, (especially mine tongue.gif )

I agree about the boot cover (the piece to cover the convertible top when it's down). I would never even carry it in the car.

Another thing with the convertible is the motion safety switch, which prevents you from operating the top if the parking brake is not engaged. It's similar to the neutral saferty switch every car with auto trans has to prevent you from starting the car if it's not in Park, which is logical. But if I start to put the top down at a stop light and need to get moving before it's completely down, the Celica's motion safety switch won't allow it. This switch is engaged by the parking brake so that it works the same with automatic or manual tranny.

hmmm well i wish my ashtrey had a light, sonsitering i am a smoker and i did smoke in my car like a dayum chimeny... but at night, if you try to use the ashtrey you cant see it and end up ashing all over your car... but i dont have a light in mine, it burned out... also i have actually been able to use these little hooks in the back for laundry, although you have to go in a straight line, any grain of sand you hit on the road just makes em fall into a crumpled heap...
as for the back seat, i have sucessfully fit 5 people in my car, each above 6 foot... they complained at first but they fit! and the funny thing was the car grinding and only 2 wheels on the ground around fast turns!

but by far the most useless thing on the 6gc hands down is the insulation! i mean what the helll!!!! did they just add a lil piece of tissue to tease us, any speeds above 45 and you cant hear yourself think! if your going 65 you cant talk on a phone! and if you live in texas and drive on the freeway, the 18 wheelers that tend to do 90 + practically deffen you!
