So, when I bought my car 4 years ago, the keyless entry remote was slightly damaged. I didn't think twice of it and it worked fine for me since then. Recently however daily wear and tear has made it impossible to use without it completely falling apart, which brings me to the current project...

The insides of the remote still work fine electronically, so I've removed them from the old plastic thing and now need to create a new housing. Any cool ideas? I'm either going to fabricate something cool looking myself, or use some kind of part from a car, but am currently at a loss for what would fit the bill.

Any and all ideas are welcome!

Hands down, if it was me? I'd take a hotwheels Pike's Peak Celica and make that into my key fob biggrin.gif
Or, if you're a smoker - how about a Zippo or a Bic lighter?

I think the Zippo idea is brilliant! Heavy... but brilliant. I love you, Death.

You two make me sick... tongue.gif

But the ZIPPO idea does rock. I can't even lie. Or; it'd be cool to slip it into something that makes no sense whatsoever. Like a Highlighter or a big Sharpe. laugh.gif Whip out a Sharpe and open your car laugh.gif maybe even a full sized remote control laugh.gif or a calculator or something tongue.gif

What'd be REALLY cool is is you had it in a Blue-Tooth head-set. wink.gif Nerdy, i know. But freak'n Awesome!

Yeah but a Highlighter or a Sharpie would look kinda ghey as a key chain, don't you think? People would always think you were really happy to see them. laugh.gif

yeah, but you wouldn't have to keep it as a key chain, just don't let someone in the office borrow it. laugh.gif

See and I thought the Hotwheels idea was the best one: You could use the windshield as the lock button and the hatch glass as the unlock. It even has the economy sized gillette wing D-Man likes so much - I'm sure you could find a use for that too laugh.gif
