I bought basically that second one, except I bought the one with the chrome shield. Not to bad either, I had to relocate the cruise control for it to fit the way it was designed. The only problem with that one is it sits in the engine bay and doesn't really get cold air. I ended up buying a couple pieces from o'riellys (sp) and did the cold air intake mod into the side fender, very pleased with the turnout. If you want any more info you can pm me, I'll send pics of mine if you want or help any way possible. Cai would be the way to go, short ram just sounds good, I think you get better performance out of the cold air intake

Honnestly, I paid $13.00 for my SRI. Plan to use it for a bit, and then upgrade the filter. as long as everything plugs and snugs right; then it really dont matter a whole lot. It's not under pressure or do a whole lot. It's just a tube. Hell if it was made of Cardboard it'd probably resist heat even better (dont expose cardboard to those temps tough )
IMO it's okay to get the cheapest one (that has the needed accommodations) that you can find, and just upgrade the filter. EDIT: you wont have bragging rights if you buy the no-name cheap-O though. People who shell out $200+ on injen and such, They only care for the name. Personally, a name is nothing; it's how it works, that's what matters But that's me. Your friends may throw eggs at you if you listen to me and buy the no-name j/k This post has been edited by D-Man: Jul 28, 2008 - 12:55 PM -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! short ram just sounds good Buy whichever one you want - the increase will be about the same. And if it really comes with a genuine K&N filter then you are getting some of the best filtration on the market [K&N make the TRD filters for TRD USA BTW so buy with confidence] This post has been edited by DEATH: Jul 28, 2008 - 1:08 PM -------------------- ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. I would never use an unnamed filter from ebay. As said above, it's fine to have cheaper tubing etc, but go for the
K&N filter. I've seen test results showing these cheap filters sucking in all kinds of crap. It's too important to cheap out on it. -------------------- |

The links he posted promise K&N filters, argueably one of the best on the market filtration-wise. Not sure if you looked at the links or not. I wouldn't use the cheapo ebay brands at all - period.
