It's officially my new baby, so much nicer than my unmentionable wide-angle zoom. Playing around with it:

Remember when buying a lens, consider the future. If you have no plans on ever upgrading your camera, you can go with EF-S lenses. If your like me, and eventually plan to upgrade to a pro-DSLR, you need to think about the lenses mounts. EF-S will not fit anything but 1.6x bodies, meaning only the Rebel series.

The way I see it, when I get to the point where I can afford a 1DS mkIII, I'll also be able to afford to upgrade to an L series zoom  .I'm still using it. 18-55 non-IS. my 400d its good enough for me now
