If you happen to take out the ignition from the back make sure not to play with it and let the wires touch any metal around that area of your car if your car is on because it will spark and could cause fuse to burn out..

Dude the alarm box itself should have a diagram of the wires that came with the alarm. that should tell you which color wire does what, that should atleast help you figure out what is what. IF you run into any trouble and this becomes out of your hands, i know some people on my side of town that are freakin awsome with alarms and this kinda stuff. I mean The Best. They are a little pricy, but worth every cent. My guy Tedy will help you all he can. Great guy.

No dude, remember i've only had this car a few months, and the reason i bought it was because it was totaled and the guys (no-obla english deal ) wanted $700 cash. So I gave em $500 and left, gave em $200 a week later (after keeping the car, just to stay true to my word) This car has had more people in it than... Well i'll get in trouble if i finish that statement But the car has been SERIOUSLY neglected, i didn't install the alarm. i have NO IDEA who did. i have no idea who did alot of the "jerry-Rigging" that i find in it. The only thing i've installed is the stereo, and subs. -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. D-Man, PM me your email address and I'll send over the wiring diagram right now.
Check the wires under there, I wonder if you pulled out a wire or something that's supposed to be grounded? Like an "arm when grounded" type of wire function. -------------------- |

:::UPDATE:::
Okay, It was raining last night and i didn't get a chance to dig into the alarm function, (and i'm at work already ) BUT!! i know for a fact (at least it seems and SOUNDS like) there is a relay attached to the key-ignition switch, that sends power to everything that wont turn off (inside fuse panel, right above the kick panel.) Last night when i got home i was reading the fuse guide deciding what to take out, and (by-itself) i heard a relay; switch itself to the open position; and everything shut-off. When i went to the store (later) however, it didn't throw the relay to the open position again... I believe that relay has gone bad. Griff, i've PM'd you my e-mail, I could really use those. Does anyone know where the "Ignition Amplification Relay" would be? (idk what it's called for sure, but that's what it does. It's obviously a N/O {normaly open} relay that closes circuit when the key is toggled into the ACC position, and it allows the second line to flow, witch is a line from the Batt into the "main functions" fuse board.) Where is this damn relay? Thanks for the help guys, hopefuly we can get this sorted out REALLY quick EDIT: Alarm is in perfect working order. (although this weekend it's getting yanked and re-installed properly This post has been edited by D-Man: Aug 6, 2008 - 8:12 AM -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! There is no such relay.... most likely that's an aftermarket relay that has something to do with the alarm system... or a turbo timer.

How does the key switch in the celica work then? Component map? -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. Okay, New developement...
I just got back from lunch, and when i turned off the car (at the post office) the A/C controls shut-off, but the power window power did not So half the problem cure'd itself... WTF... But when i got back to my shop, it all decited to stay on, and wont go off for anything. Is it possible that i have something wet from the recent hurricane, maybe something is leaking... idk... Maybe something that needs to dry? -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. Well, after studying electrical breakdowns, sience 7am (currently 2pm, i had 20 min lunch and that's it ) so after 6.5 hours of studying this thing... i've come to the conclusion that theonly thing it could be is the damn ignition switch. It would seem atleast
Does anyone have a spare? -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Damn D-Man - most impressive. D-Man's post should be a sticky LOL, oh boy, you can always count on D-Man for ridiculously hilarious posts. |

It can't be the ignition switch, if it was, the problem would have gone away when you unplugged it.

True... I'm not thinking stright, staring at these wiring diagrams... Although i may not have pulled the proper harness yesterday.
BUT!! i did pull the fuses (all but the 100A as told) and that didn't help either... Although after inspecting these diagrams (cant find the windows) the A/C and heater & blowers are all on the 100a fuse, so idk wtf to do about this all... I suppose i'll see if i can disconnect that 100a and if that helps, but that doesn't cure the problem... I guess the first step is going to be taking out this damn alarm, or disconecting it so that it can be isolated... -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! Pulling the 100amp requires removing the plastic housing from around the fusebox and unbolting it on each side...

I would totally eliminate the alarm system and put everything back to stock.
Well, let me rephrase that, if *I* were there, I would take a multimeter and trace the problem out and figure out why it's doing that. But I've got a hunch that it's the alarm system. -Doc This post has been edited by Dr_Tweak: Aug 6, 2008 - 3:38 PM -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

If you have a alarm with a remote start then there would be a bunch of wires connected to the wires that connects to the ignition. I dont know about the engine kill thingy though on the alarm. But when i bought my car the previous owner had an alarm and took everything out except the wires and a relay that connects to the ignition wires. One day i turn off my car and didnt turn off either. took off battery and opened it up to find that wire and took it out and plug the regular ignition wires to where it should go and everything works fine again.

Well, lastnight when i parked at the house, it didn't do it... When i got to work this morning, it didn't do it... Lets wait till lunch, because this may throw a whole new theory...
It may be possible (as unlikely as it seems) that durring the mad hurricane, something leaked and got something wet and caused the lines to cross... and as it dryed it got better... Or because i promised my Celica a garage last week, and i'm barely getting the keys today, maybe she was being mean with me because i didn't make good on my offer when i said so i'll continue to re-assure her (women ) but if it continues to work perfectly, then i suppose i need to turn my attention to sealing the car up as to not leak where ever it leaked But i suppose thats an easier fix than the alternative. (still removing that damn alarm though ) i'll update after lunch (i've got to turn my car off 2wice durring lunch) -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!!
