I believe the girl was driving on the highway when it happened, high RPMs and broken connecting rod = carnage. Two of the valves were bent as well, you could see the marks on the top of the piston where they hit. Some metal filings made it all the way to the underside of the valve cover.
The first thing Dustin asked me was if I put all that crap in the oil pan, my answer was no, just pulled the oil pan off and that's what was laying in it. This post has been edited by hurley97: Aug 1, 2008 - 11:26 AM -------------------- |

IT RUNS!!!
From what I can tell so far from just driving it around the block: - the idle is perfect, needle is still at idle - engine itself runs quieter without the balance shafts than a regular Camry/Solara motor - A/C blows cold. dash lights, DRL's, auto lights, all electronics work fine - brakes are good, pads about 50-60% worn and don't pulsate - drives straight, steering wheel is very slightly off center - exhaust flex section is leaking, it's already been replaced - front struts are bad, bouncy over big bumps not so bad over small ones - strut mounts are bad, they are noisy over bumps - rear sway bar bushings clunk over bumps - there is something in the blower motor, makes a lot of noise when its on -------------------- |
