just make sure your car has been serviced, mainly oil and oil filter, check coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid. don't worry about spark plugs/leads as they can be replaced anytime, but if you want it running smoother change leads, spark plugs, dizzy cap, rotor.

If it were myself, i would just check up on all my fluids. DEF, change my oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter etc. you get the idea. You said that you had just did some maintanaince, well, i would check up on anything I have doubts about. Also check your tire pressure, make sure they properly inflated. Just basic maintanence. Having a number for roadside assistance, or atleast some sort of emergency contact helps, also a few tools incase something happens (maybe you have some modifications that might be suspect to failing, but enough to where you can fix urself without roadside assistance). Flashlights, blankets, of course FOOD and water for emergencies. And finally, cash. Bring cold hard cash incase you need money where there isnt a place to withdraw money. Well GL with your trip and hope you ahve fun...

Two months ago I took my car from Nebraska, to Las Vegas, onto Phoenix, with a final stop in San Diego before going back home. Right around 4000 miles. I changed my oil & filter, changed the air filter, and had my mechanic check the whole car over. Both half shafts later and a timing belt later and I was good to go.

I also got rid of my tiny spare and have a full size tire on a stock rim sitting in my trunk, I didn't want to be stuck in the middle of the desert on a doughnut.

a few years back i took my 94 st from va to ca and back. before i left i checked the above stated stuff, only problem i had was my water pump went out on the way back, but i dont think you can really look at them and tell they're about to fail... but if your car has a lot of miles on it and you've never put one on it...
