My AC in my 95 Celica suddenly stop working. It still blow air, but not cold air. I added freon about a couple of months ago and was working fine until yesterday. Any suggestion what it might be? Thanks

I have a similar problem, mine used to blow air, but it was "cool" instead of cold (I think it was around 74?), took it to a shop to get the system evacuated and charged (thats helped out a bit) was told it should last through the summer. Was also informed that my compressor is on its last legs. So if I had to guess I'd say it might be the compressor. Its been a while since I had to mess around with A/C theory and application though.

or a leak in the system. Usually coolant last longer than a few months. I've gotten (on avg) 1-2 years out of a full charge. kindasad.gif there has to be a leak in your system.

spider, If your compressor is goin, then that explains why you're loosing cooling power. Pong, You sir may just have a minute leak. Get some of that UV stuff and a black light. It'll show you your leak. biggrin.gif

Thats true, it could be a leak somewhere, a gauge would tell you for sure if your loosing 134 somehwere in those lines. Here is a link on how to TS your AC System. It could be as simple as a leak, or maybe more, go ahead and check it out.

Forgot to add the first part in TS the AC system. Read this one first.. It'll pretty much run down basic stuff (wrong switch on, fuses, etc...)
