What kind of turbo upgrade are you doing, what kind of psi you will run, let me know! i will be running a garrett t3/t4 turbo Custom Manifold (Stainless, Tig Welded, For T3/T4 50 TRIM ) before i got the upgrade, i had the stock turbo (ct20b) and it was @ 15lbs Hopefully i can get 20 (MAYBE more?) but i wont push it for now will find out when we tune it soon. im looking to be in the 330-350whp range. i was already making 266whp so hopefully with the minor add ons, i can conservatively get some more, after that, maybe down the road, i will upgrade fuel rail, cams (if i cant get a hold of the aftermarket company) herbalife has some but i cant contact him. would you know a company pit? oh...btw....update! -------------------- |

for the cam gears : HKS, Fidanza, ATS, any gen 2 3SGTE aftermarket cam gear will works. I suggest ATS for the price and the quality. I suggest fidanza for their very lightweight pulley (but not as strong as ATS and they are more pricey).

To answer your pm, its kinda of a two part answer. yes and no about still using the s54. YES i will use another s54 in the celica for a stock gen2 3sgte. it holds the power fine. NO for my built 3sgte i will not be using an s54, i will be using the stock mr2 e153.

Damn - can't wait and fingers crossed for you Bro. I thought those cracked bolt holes were for that Turbo support mount but couldn't be sure from the pics. That's cool - gonna need something to support it tho. I'm hoping everything else works out fine for you.

Thanks! i wasnt sure if they needed to be modded a bit to fit 4th gens. i remember herbalife teling me you had to modify either the cams or the fuel rail. cant remember. To answer your pm, its kinda of a two part answer. yes and no about still using the s54. YES i will use another s54 in the celica for a stock gen2 3sgte. it holds the power fine. Oh cool! for some reason i was thinking you were changing s54 trannys the way you change hot dates! and yes itchy...you are a traitor! lol but im beginning to realize fwd ftl is true...the nissan guys are trying to get me to buy a 240. Damn - can't wait and fingers crossed for you Bro. I thought those cracked bolt holes were for that Turbo support mount but couldn't be sure from the pics. Update or ban! look what i got in yesterday! Celicab gave me a gt radiator with the fans like a month or so ago, (THANKS SO MUCH BRO! ) but i started thinking, man, i dont want to run into any cooling issues since i will be running a larger turbo. already have the must have AEM UEGO. also will be getting an aeromotive FPR 1:1 and a greddy emanage blue, after that i should be all set as far as motor upgrade! i was thinking about electronic boost controller, but i will keep my manual for now. hope to have the car back by next week sometime. i think the dyno guy comes in only saturdays, so maybe next weekend? anyone have suggestions for later on? (water injection on the list) lowering springs, and checking on my control arm bushings also ( i KNOW they will give out.) and yes those are seats and a sunroof and door panels and yes theyre for sale (will make thread later ) This post has been edited by easternpiro1: Aug 27, 2008 - 12:23 PM -------------------- |

Sweet! Nice upgrade. Watch that overflow spout - mine broke very easily and trying to find someone willing to weld it back on without warping the cap's mounting surface has been terrible. The welds on the spout looked good but when I tried to pull of the simple rubber tube it broke right off with little or no resistance.

tell me what you guys think! I think you've torn that 3 month clutch into sh!t. i think that you were dumping the clutch too much thats what will happene it doesnt effect how much power you have it might slightly but a clutch is a clutch but if you were dumping it that what will happene if you put a twin plate clutch or heavy duty clutch say good bye to your gearbox because if you have a high power and you put any of the performance clutch..the clutch will transfer the power to you gearbox which you will have a high chance of blowing your gearbox This post has been edited by GT4KNG: Aug 27, 2008 - 9:28 PM |

No, twin disc is awesome, that's two clutch discs. totally different setup than normal but that's HIGH hp stuff, way over kill for your setup.
I meant just make sure the disc isn't riveted like the pics I showed you, that should be one solid piece of metal instead of two, thats all. -------------------- |

I was confused for a sec! no even the twin disc you talking about will make the gearbox last in the future...if you have enough money and you want your gearbox to last longer and you have a massive power i would rebuilt my gearbox to a dog teeth gear box which is extremely strong but noisy a bit that type of gear box you can put as much as power on it and it wont die it will last for many times and you wont be scared even if you dumb your clutch . and the style that i am talking about sti or evo water injection...is that you have 30 liters water tank in the boot (trunk) and supply 2 jets to your front mount intercooler which is easy and the proper way of doing it. in my opinion the stock clutch is better . ah the thing is, i never dumped my clutch, im real anal about doing stuff like that, however as far as trannys go, i wish i knew where else to grab an e153 in short notice but i decided to go ahead with the s53 again. (quick shifting here i come once again)
2 jets!? cool! but at the same time, idk about spraying into the i/c. most of the guys here tap in right before the TB. i hear its more efficient. check this water injection thread lagos made http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h224/lag...on/P1010147.jpg (i know lagos, itchy, pressure, batman, death, and plyr are saying "HOT DAMN! that boy FINALLY used the search button! hallenujah! ) This post has been edited by easternpiro1: Aug 29, 2008 - 3:18 AM -------------------- |
